Insufficient evidence:
-The state's case and reason for going for Adnan are because of Jay's testimony and an anonymous caller telling them to look into the previous boyfriends 
- Claimed to have a map-book inside Hae's car with Adnan's palm print = said was definitive proof that Adnan was in Hae's car that day 
- Many other finger and hand prints were on the map too
- Adnan's palm print could have been from any day - Adnan had been spotted in Hae's car a lot which means it could have been there from many weeks ago 
- Pieces of "evidence" used to convict Adnan are just random pieces of evidence that can be used for or against Adnan go either way

Inconsistencies:
- Each time Jay told the story, ideas were added, replaced or removed
- Jay told different people different things - why many people said different things about the story
