OBU students raised that students would like to be introduced into what the assignment would look like from lesson one to help them focus.

We are currently reviewing the academic calendar to explore if any modifications to the delivery model as possible, but as this is highly centralised, we don’t anticipate that may alternations will be possible. OBU students suggested the associate dean to consider if any additional or revised guidance needs to be made available to the students at the start of a module.

Tutors already provide comprehensive guidance at the start of the module re: the learning pathway, but we will review this to explore if there are clearer ways to present this, or, if we can make some of this available prior to the module commencing. We are aware that some guidance was altered on a module prior to submission, this was at the guidance of the partner to improve the student experience, we are working with them closely to ensure this doesn’t happen again, to minimise disruption moving forwards. Check Wifi is working at the Greenford campus, so students are able to log into Moodle.

IT manager (PB) contacted the IT technician at the Greenford campus and ensured the Wifi is checked and is working properly.

OBU Representatives have been contacted and reminded to book a training session over the next few months and informed to contact Student Engagement if none of the existing time or dates are suitable, to arrange a better date and time.

Student Engagement team and some representatives who need to complete training have been in contact and have arranged suitable training dates on Moodle.

The building is too small to be viable. There are two cafeterias with warm sandwiches, less than a 5 minute walk (Mary Ward centre and the Pantry cafe).

Students have raised, male toilets on the third floor at the GEDU house campus hand dryers have cold air. Also the water taps have been hot and cold, and the hot water is also cold. Facilities department to check this issue.

All the hand dryers were tested and are fully operational as designed. The water taps are hot and cold, we test the temperature regularly and its within the right parameters. When unused, the hot tap may require to be run for a few seconds before its used.

Secretary requested OBU SSTs to work closely with Student Engagement to increase the number of representatives in place for the Business and Entrepreneurship Programme.

OBU reps have signed up to the training sessions and the number of reps trained has increased over the past couple of months.

HSC students reported a constant change in lecturers throughout the year and mentioned it has disrupted the learning.

The reason for the changes in lecturers is that that we have lecturers allocated who specialises in that particular module. Another factor is staff leaving which means finding a replacement.

Leeds students wanted a clarification on whether there was any recognised qualification for the Level 3 Foundation Year. Head of SSTs (RM) to provide clarity.

Head of SSTs clarified, when applying for jobs, a letter can be provided as a verification from the Head of SSTs as proof of the Level 3 completion.
