I am your student's new high school Biology teacher, Tristan Moody. I grew up in New York and studied at St. John's University for a year. I then moved to Idaho in 2021 and finished school at the University of Idaho. Moving to Idaho was a great decision, as this state offers unmatched beauty and opportunity. I love the outdoors and love to see how science works in everyday life.

Your involvement with this class is welcome, and necessary. If your child is struggling i will do my best to make sure they get back on track. If you have any input about class material or how I run my class I will listen. It is important for you to be invested in the education of your child, and I will do all I can to make sure they have an awesome year.

Student Centered Approach

I realize that every student has a unique way of learning, and I will try to adapt my instruction to meet the needs of all my students. For this to happen students must be engaged and ready to participate in the learning. Much of the work will be a project based approach which will give students the opportunity to do hands on work with the materials. This way your student will learn how to effectively work in a group, and develop leadership skills.

Student Engagement

Students will be expected to come to class engaged and ready to learn. It is important that your student realizes the importance of learning. I will do my part to make classes enjoyable and formative. The standards will be high, but if your student is engaged, they will have a fantastic year.
