         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Purpose:</strong> This bill directs the President to declare a national emergency relating to climate change. Additionally, the President must ensure that the federal government invests in projects to mitigate the emergency and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.<br><strong>Who supports?</strong> <br>Both Democrats and Republicans both support the bill due to the staggering statistics about climate change itself and the impacts it has had on America, however, Democrats have many more supporters than Republicans.<br><strong>Who's against it?<br></strong>Republicans argue climate change is not an immediate threat and does not count as a national crisis.<br><strong>What do I think?<br></strong>I feel it is necessary to keep our world alive. Climate change is a significant issue that has escalated over the past several decades and I’m glad Congress is doing something about it.<strong><br></strong><br></div>]]></description>
