I am 35 years old but I look like a teenager. During learning journeys with my students, I avoid wearing the same colour as the students because there were times that the tour guide counted me as one of the students. I've been teaching for slightly more than 10 years, and decided to switch track after attending the TSN course a few years back. During circuit breaker, I picked up punch needle embroidery and has been working on my pieces frequently. I love green and plants, but have been struggling to keep my plants alive. I like taking long bus rides so I am really looking forward to face-to-face lessons in NIE.

I am between 40 to 60 years old. I love to eat sweet stuff but has now controlled my cravings due to health concerns. I am about less than 1.80m . In my free time, I read story books. My favorite genre are mysteries and historical fiction to pass time. During COVID-19 lockdown, I stay focus by painting the ceiling and varnishing my worktable at home.

Just before the Circuit Breaker last year, I got myself a pair of guppies and was trying to keep them alive. Yes, they lived long enough to give me two batches of fry. I have now bought three more new guppies to vary the gene pool. Fish seem easier to care for as they don't talk back like my two teenagers.
I think I can still pass off as maybe in the late 30s, if I dye my grey hair, I am actually 48 this year. I have taken up playing badminton again recently, that was how I met my husband. Can you imagine my living room turning into a battleground when Malaysia vs China for badminton during the recent Olympics?

I enjoy scuba diving and I was lucky enough to take a plane in February 2020 to go diving in the Gili Islands before everything happened. I have logged 30 dives but have yet to see dolphins, manta rays and mola mola. I think once I have seen them, I can "retire". In the last 2 years, I picked up aerial hammock. It is more an acrobatic art than it is yoga. Many people mistake them. But aerial hammock has a choreography, so imagine a succession of moves on the hammock instead of static poses. ;) Samoyeds are my favourite dogs but we live in Singapore, so I can't imagine how hot it must be for those fluffy dogs.

I'm probably one of the youngest in the course; I just finished my NS last year August, where I served as a Neighbourhood Police Centre Officer and recently did my untrained stint in Chua Chu Kang Sec! I'm a very cheerful and outgoing person. I love giving back to the community, especially the underprivileged segment. I also enjoy listening to Jazz songs and play some video games in my free time!

Before I got accepted into MOE, I was working many odd jobs. I was working midnight shifts at warehouses and even as a cashier at Giant. My last job before this was as a food stall assistant.
I like makeup. I feel that it is a good way to express how I am feeling that day. So, if you see me not wearing makeup, I am either not having a great day or I'm just really tired. Nice to meet all of you!!

I am in my 40s and I was an AED T&L since 2011. I was in the same school for my stint as well. I love to cook/bake and I enjoy crafts. I have 2 children and love to spend quality time with them watching Netflix or Nat Geo channel. My family's current craze is the Nintendo Switch and we bond over games and Zumba over the weekend.

Like many of you, I have been an AED T&L for many years.
My love for outdoor sports started only during Secondary school periods with basketball and running followed by soccer. Started bowling when I joined MOE where I represent MOE for the civil service competitions. However a wrist injury after a fall stopped me from performing even though I could still bowl, my scores were never great again. My other hobbies also includes watching animes and movies.
My wish now is to work with everyone and have a great time for this course! :)

Teach, teach, teach for 12 years, and explore and get intimately involved in a new era with special needs students. The job stint has taught me in various sections. Good about me and most appreciated was my cooking. I get to help my help SEN students in the kitchen, and we get so much attached. It helped me to communicate well with SEN students and built a good rapport.

I'm just over 30 years old, but most people seem to think I'm younger. I guess it also doesn't help that my hobbies are more like a teenager's - K-pop and video games (I watch more than I play). I have the athletic skills of a leaf (i.e. none), but I enjoyed watching artistic gymnastics and diving during the Olympics. My experience with children with special needs comes from working in private organisations, so working in a school has been really eye-opening.

I cannot emphasise enough how much I love music and all things artistic. I like to sing, I like to play the piano, poetries, dancing, make-up, colours, looking at all things aesthetically pleasing, especially Mother Nature! I’m also that person who loves to put in effort in planning birthdays and hosting others, just because I enjoy the creative process and I want others to feel comfortable and happy. What brings me here is my passion for mental health and desire for creating a more inclusive society. My biggest strength would be my empathetic nature and perspective-taking skills. My weakness would be that I do get anxious sometimes but have learnt to manage it pretty well. I dared myself to take public speaking class in university so that helped tremendously, as well as my love for music and having performed in front of large groups of people before.

I am 31 this year, although one of my students thought that I look 46 😭. I enjoy listening to music! Thanks to my parents, I grew up listening to The Beatles and The Carpenters. Some time in 2012 I started teaching myself how to play the guitar. Thank you Prof. Google. I'm still not very good at it though. They always say that Asians cannot live without rice, but I cannot live without noodles, all sorts of noodles - mee, pasta, ramen and so on. One of these days I want to make a bowl of Japanese tonkotsu ramen (with all the toppings) from scratch. Other than that I often find myself deep in the rabbit holes of Wikipedia and YouTube.

I am a mother to a 4-year-old boy-girl twin who are my guinea pigs. I'm from the first batch of AED T&L back in 2009 and has been with the Math Dept throughout my T&L journey. Hello everyone,

I am in my mid 30s and am blessed with two beautiful kids, a girl and boy. Just like many of you, I have been an AED T&L for the past 12 years. People who see me for the first time always tend to label me as being an introvert, but hey, once you get to me know me better, you will realize that I can be a fun person to hang out with. Two things that I love doing is spending quality time with my two kids and watching Netflix (after the kids have gone to bed).

Apart from music, and when inspiration sets in, I like writing from my muse. I blend my love for words, photography, writing, and lyrical rhyme into pieces I could enjoy. I then craft it up and post it on my Instagram. Such is when time permits, else I would just dump it all on a notepad.

Teaching has always been my passion. I was an Allied Educator for 10 years. I enjoy working with children with learning difficulties. The smallest progression that these children make in their work brings me so much of satisfaction.

I am blessed with two boys who are turning four and seven. I love to read, watch movies and listen to music. I love to hear people sing and watch people dance as well.

Hello everyone.

I never thought that I would ever be in the education fraternity - given my lack of patience.

I had my calling after some years in the Biomedical industry, I leapt and ventured into Early Childhood.

After which, I moved on to being an AED (T&L) and now, an AED (LBS).

The misconception of having a lack of patience is not a roadblock for me to explore and find my purpose in working with SEN. Having the right mindset and a heart for them takes precedence over my shortcomings.

Blessed I am to have all of you soldiering on this journey together.
