This was a really cool idea of teaching digital citizenship (right/wrong, good choices, online integrity) through the lens of comics and superheroes. Definitely slanted towards older kids, but I loved framing the lessons in a current/pop culture way to make them more engaging.

It's essentially creating content in multiple apps and then "smashing" them together to publish in a digital medium.

As a first year teacher this was one of my biggest concerns. I have found that Class Dojo makes for open communication with the parents, and little effort. I am able to share with the parents how well their student is doing as well as communicate through a 1-1 messenger, post a "story" to the entire class or simply post video/work as if it were seesaw. This app is fun, innovative, keeps the parents connected and really helps manage behavior throughout the day. I have even added in a little competition, for whoever gets the most Dojo Points at the end of the week, receives a unmaterialistic prize such as stinky feet (no shoes in class) or a lunch buddy.

You can do a lesson where you squeeze out all the toothpaste and ask the students to try and put it back in. If you say or do mean things on the internet, they cannot be erased or deleted permanently
.
