"Yeet!" My mom called. "Get your body down here! You're gonna be late to that meeting!"

I perked up at that. Nice move, mom. Meetings in the Flame household were rare and exciting. And, in my case, full of drama. It was pretty much realistic fiction, but, y'know, in real life! 

I hurried downstairs where my mom was making my favorite food, crepes. Uh oh. I braced myself for an argument. 

"Family meeting time." Her voice was calm, with little emotion.

"Uh, oh, okay." I could feel my palms begin to get sweaty.

Mom took the crepes to the table and sat down. Dad and my brother, Fling, were already seated, with chocolate spread around their mouths, making it pretty obvious they'd had their fill. My dad wiped off his lips with a napkin.

"So, kiddos," My mom paused for good measure. "Someone stole our bunny."

"WHAT?!" Fling and I exclaimed in unison.

My dad had a slight melancholy look in his eye.

My mouth hung open in shock. "N-no! Cinnamon's right here! I-I can prove it!"

Mom's eyebrow raised. "Really? 'Cause last time I checked, She's either gone or dead."

Fling put a hand on my shoulder. "Cinna is gonna be okay."

I brushed his hand off. "And how do you know that, Mister Smart Alec?"

"Ugh, you're so difficult. It's called a gut feeling, princess."

I rolled my eyes. As soon as we finished our crepes, I pulled Fling to the corner to talk.

"Mom's been acting...sus lately."

Fling huffed out a small laugh. "Ain't she sus all the time?"

"I guess, but I'm worried, you know?"

Fling nodded his head. "Mhmm."

"I mean...what If Cinna’'s dead?"

Fling stayed silent. 

My face suddenly lit up. "We have to find her!"

"WHAT?"

"We're gonna find Cinna!"

"You're mentally insane!"

"I am. What's your point?"

I hurried to the front door, my phone in one hand, my brother in the other.  I played some Kesha while we walked to the first place I suspected she was at, The Creek. It was a densely wooded area that Cinnamon loved to visit. I spotted a patch of brown fur. I crept over to touch it, but it was just a dead chipmunk. Gross.

The forbidden forest was a place no student, under any circumstances, was allowed to enter.

So naturally that’s where you’d find friends Dakota, Puffy and Cyclops.

All of them were stuffed animals. Dakota was a cream dog with a brown spot over their left dark brown eye, brown ears, and a brown tail. They wore a chocolate doughnut around their neck. Puffy a teal dragon with dark blue spikes, pink horns, silver wings and a white underbelly. Cyclops was a white seal with only one eye.

“I can’t believe you dragged us here, Dakota,” Cyclops groaned. “I’m already in enough trouble.”

“Well, I’m sure it’s not that bad,” Puffy said, optimistic yet nervous. “Just look at the uh- scenery.”

The forest was dark, with long overgrown vines on every tree. The undergrowth was deep, and constantly got on the animals feet, causing them to trip.

“Yeah, the scenery,” Dakota said, clumsily climbing up a tree. “HEY LOOK AT THIS!” They grabbed onto one of the many vines, swinged about 1 foot, and immediately fell on their face. “THAT 1 FOOT WAS WORTH IT!”

In the distance, they heard the faint sound of a bell.

“Was that the School Bell?” Cyclops asked.

Suddenly a tree fell behind the 3 fell, blocking their path. 

“Great, now we’re stuck here,” Cyclops groaned. 

“We are?” asked Puffy, starting to freak out.

“Don’t worry, guys,” Dakota said. 

1st they attempted to swing across with the vines, but once again, they did not get very far. Dakota then attempted to climb up the fallen tree, only to fall back down. They shook off the dirt, thought for a moment, seemed to have a little idea, and rubbed against the fallen tree, until they came across a hole in the tree. They came out on the other side.

“Come on guys, what are you waiting for?” Dakota asked. 

Cyclops groaned, but moved through the hole and came out the other side. Puffy skipped into the hole, happy to just get back on time. They ran for the rest of the way, panting as they reached the school building.

Ellen was a dark green dragon, with underscores of pink and purple and dark gray eyes. Her wings looked like they were made of crystals.

“You went to the Forbidden Forest, didn’t you?” Ellen asked.

“Forbidden Forest?” Dakota said unconvincingly. “What is that? I don’t think I’ve heard of a Forbidden Forest.”

Ellen responded with a single raised eyebrow.

Dakota sighed. “Fine. Here’s 5$, don’t tell the teachers.” 

Ellen took the money, and kept her mouth shut.

At the end of the day, each of the animals went home. Cyclops to her one-eyed dad and her two-eyed mom, Puffy to his parents, Dakota to their adopted dragon mom, and Ellen walked home. 

Later that night, almost asleep in their bed, Dakota jolted awake. I’m running out of money to pay Ellen not to tell on me.

Day 1: I found out that I can't eat anything (not even crepes) without my mouth imploding. My brother also 'you problemed' Christopher Colombus. :D My dad let me bring my calico mask<3.

Day 2: BIG NEWS ABOUT THIS DAY IN NEXT POST! Saw some big balls (NOT WHAT YOU THINK) there were big red ortament statues. Rode the staten island ferry and got some slay pictures on my camera! we also went to B&H and got a bag for the camera! At like 9PM we were at the empire state building.

Day 3: We played the subway rat game (whoever finds the first subway rat wins) and me and my brother saw 4 AT A TIME !!! I won tho and I took a picture of it :D Took my first uber at like 2 AM don't ask.

Day 4: Took a train ride home and watched some therian tiktoks cuz i like them and then procrastinated the entire ride and i also got FOOD POISONING FUN!!
