America should have won- they were more militarily powerful, had the resources and the manpower needed. But morally, of a country chooses on its own accord to be communist, they should have the ability to do so without negative involvement from other countries. In the end, Vietnams determination is what won them this war, so the morally it played out how it should have.

America should have won since they had much more military in both equipment and man power. But even though the Vietnamese implemented a different tactic of fighting (gorilla warfare) which help them win the war. I feel if the two countries were pitted against each other in no mans land with no environmental advantage for either side, America would clearly win.

Vietnam was capable to win the war (and that's what happened). America acted irrationally due to the rise of communism. They felt insecure after the Korean war, therefore, they overestimated their power which led to huge mistake (My Lai). As it was a piece time, many countries didn't want a new wave of distraction and therefore, media criticized the US.

The Americans should have won because they were superior in every aspect besides jungle warfare. The ego to the USA along with non-tactical tactics lead the United state to a very costly war that could not be called a win and was not worth continuing. Thus the US withdrawal was imminent.

No one should have won or lost, which I think was exactly what happened in Vietnam. So many stories have been told about the military superiority of U.S. and the devious tactics of Vietnam, but people failed to acknowledge the disaster that hit the people on the low level. Humans died in both countries. The despair and sorrow was suffered on both sides. Wars have no winners when it comes to the people.

I don't think the American should have won but I also don't think that Vietnam have a good reason to win. This is just how history ended, American did make their mistake by underestimate its enemy, Vietnam deserves to win, they died so much more civilians and it's there land. The Americans in the war were just carrying a business that wasn't related to them.
