After the learners engage with the student population data, they will be asked to complete the Think, Puzzle, Explore instructions followed by an all-class share aloud.

Learners will be encouraged to bring their own devices to add to this TPE graphic organizer. For those that do not bring technology, the facilitator can add their responses.

Students will review the UofM demographics, common issues for each student type, practice with scenarios and role-playing activities, and apply their knowledge to an evergreen reference source.

This PPT and the final resource product will be added to our office's training folder for later use.

Circle of Viewpoints

Students will complete predetermined scenarios as informal practice and assessment prior to their digital assessment.

Students will be asked to choose from a PickerWheel that randomly selects a student type and a random financial aid topic.

This could provide the facilitator with more cognitive decisions made on the counselor's part.

Connect Extend Challenge

The counselors, after completing the Circle of Viewpoints will be asked to take at least three minutes to answer think of any prior connections in learning, how their learning was extended, and any additional challenges that remain after the instruction.

UofM Student Persona Book

Counselors will be asked to use the instructions from the Google Slides and research the student demographics.

These findings will be compiled and curated into a user persona book that can be used for future new hires and temp staff and serve as a repository for existing staff.
