About 31,872 people signatures, were made by the people them self. They were collected in 1852. The largest petitions that were collected was about 25,519 signatures. it was a very special moment for the women. The road women were getting the right to vote for the rights. And they were able to participate in it an new zealand, Aotearoa. the women used to get paid less than the men would, and the women werent really known for doing jobs. They basically had to stay at home and stay with the children to take care of the kids. while the men used to do all the work and get all the money. meanwhile it was really unfair back in the days. alot of people were voting to have some women rights but meanwhile some of the people didnt even care or want women rights. then new zealand decided to have some women rights and to this day on the new zealand 10 dollar note there is the lady that made women rights.
