         <description><![CDATA[<div>-Sewer Lice - have box delivered during class that has FRAGILE LIVE SPECIMEN on the box. Inside have a flask with "living samples" (really sprite/mt dew with raisins. Show students that they are a new species and the are moving (they move up and down). Tell students they are edible and found in sewers - eventually eat one - very dramatically. Then throw one on a desk - eventually they will figure out its a raisin. Talk about characteristics of life (movement isn't alive). Talk about being a skeptic in science. </div>]]></description>

I set students on a timer and they rotate tables "tasting books." This gets students interested in books. <br><br>Test Prep<br>-Set up board games like candy land, shoots and ladders, trouble, etc. and put students into groups.
