We are students from Florida Atlantic University’s SeaTech campus in Dania Beach, where we tackle maritime engineering challenges through cutting-edge research in autonomy. Our team applies Ocean Engineering knowledge to develop Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs) that navigate and solve complex tasks on the water. A key part of our work is competing in RobotX, an international competition that pushes the boundaries of maritime autonomy. Through this, we continue to innovate and advance solutions for real-world ocean challenges.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Last weekend, Team Owltonomous successfully tested our improved propulsion system by adding two bow thrusters, enhancing the vessel’s robustness and creating a more overactuated system for precise control. These upgrades significantly improved maneuverability, particularly in challenging conditions. During the tests, we also trialed the station-keeping functionality in autonomous mode, where the USV maintained its position with impressive accuracy, marking a key milestone in our development efforts.</p>]]></description>

         <title>Successful First Flight of Holybro X500 V2: Manual and Autonomous System Testing

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Today marked the successful first test flight of the Holybro X500 V2 drone. We conducted both manual flight and tested the drone's auto takeoff and auto land functionalities. The UAV performed flawlessly, responding well to manual controls and executing autonomous takeoff and landing as expected. This marks a major milestone in our testing process, as we now have a solid foundation for future autonomous operations.</p><p>The next step in our testing will focus on autonomous flight, where we will further refine the control systems and navigation algorithms to enable fully autonomous missions. The data gathered from today’s flight will be invaluable for optimizing the drone’s performance in future tests.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Today, we took the WAMV out on the water and successfully tested it autonomously navigating between a gate of buoys!
