This is a Ted Talk that shows people the gifts of a dyslexic mind. Meaning that even if a child has dyslexia, they have benefits in other ways of learning that are stronger than children without dyslexia. This shows another way of how dyslexia can be a good thing, and how people should embrace it. In this talk, the narrator does a good job of showing how dyslexia is a disability that has many positives to go along with the negatives. Dyslexic minds have a lot of benefits that help the patient learns in different ways than a lot of their peers, and they help children to process information in their own individual way. Lastly, this talk is a good talk for people who are having trouble seeing the positives in dyslexia, and for people who want to know the benefits of this disability so they can embrace them.

This video displays a group of adults without dyslexia going through a simulation as if they did in fact have dyslexia. These adults are getting the experience of what it's like having this disability. This simulation shows adults just how bad some of the struggles are for kids with this disability. This shows that adults aren't fully aware of the trouble that kids experience, and they don't know what it feels like to be "the kid with dyslexia." These adults are slowly becoming aware of these things through this simulation, and it shows them how little they really knew in the past. All in all, this shows people how they should be patient with kids with this disability, and they should be careful with what they say, because they aren't always aware of what they're talking about.

In my opinion, dyslexia is a disability that has many positives that should be acknowledged by people. Meaning that even though there are some setbacks in this disability, the benefits should be brought to people's attention in a powerful way. For example, say that a kid with dyslexia has trouble reading certain words. This same kid might be better at pronouncing or writing these words than anyone else in his age group. Overall, dyslexia is a beneficial disability in as many ways as it isn't, therefore it shouldn't be categorized as something bad.

Dyslexia is a disability that many americans, and citizens of other countries suffer from everyday. This being true, those same people contain many benefits and qualities that can be found anywhere else. What I'm trying to say is that dyslexia may be a disability, but it has enough positives to even out the negatives. This disability is a way for kids to learn to deal with adversity, and make something they thought was impossible to do, into something better. Adding on to that, dyslexia has displayed every component on how it works to how it affects kids. From the start of dyslexia in general, kids are setback from their peers and classmates in ways that they don't comprehend enough to understand why this happens. People don't understand the causes and effects of this disability, and why these things happen. Overall, this disability is a great way of educating kids and parents about the different learning capabilities kids entitle, and how these capabilities can affect them in the long run.
