Content of Provocation:
This provocation addresses the ambiguity regarding the origins of language and how difficult it is to retrace these origins. It also poses the hypothesis that there existed a language from which all languages ultimately come from. The video also discusses the implications of the nature in which languages changed - the people who spoke them changed and how it in turn affected their language.

What is the main role of language in the provocation?
It is the subject of inquiry, yet also a tool for learning more about history. Linguists dedicate their lives to chasing the roots of languages, discovering their origins - both geographically and concerning cultures and peoples. They can hence intuit much about the daily lives of these people from the language that they used.

<Are Elvish, Klingon, Dothraki and Na'vi real languages>
Content of the Provocation:
This provocation talks about the conditions for a language to be "real". They give examples of Elvish, Klingon, and other languages that are not "real" but used in movies and explain whether they can be considered as real language or not. To do so, they address some conditions such as having grammar or changes in vocabularies.
Main role of language:
The provocation explains that the main role of language is communication and also representation of identity/ethnicity.
The most important problem with language:
it doesn't say anything about problem

The article states that the immigrants in UK are forced to learn English because the government stated, ''integration is a two a way street requiring the involvement of both new comers and host communities.'' Although reports show that the majority of foreign residents speak English to a fluent level. Either way. this shows the importance of language when adapting to new cultures as language helps in many aspects of life from understanding to communication.

To what extent can language be directly translated without losing its meaning?
The provocation suggests that 'you' is the hardest word to translate. For this word, there are many variations for this word that depend on the context, who you're addressing, how many people you're addressing, and your relationship with them.

Content of the provocation:
The video "How do languages evolve and change" discusses the idea that all languages may be traced to a root language or a original language, this is suggested by the similarities between many different languages. though similarly the languages may also be unrelated at a surface level. Languages have changed due to exposure to certain things in different situations or places, shifting their expansion to what immediately concerns them.
