Metacognition is to analyze what you learn and think. It is the awareness of one's learning and thinking process. It is an art of thinking about what you think and learning about what you have to learn. My learning strategies are nothing but sitting down and first making a note of what all is to be learnt and revised. After sorting out topics and sub-topics, I assign each topic a specific time limit . Including flow charts, diagrams, tables and all sorts of visual methods of learning prove to be really helpful while learning. Also, I try to question and teach the concepts to myself in order to have a better understanding of what I know and what all I have to revise again. I read the books, try to write down my understanding of the topic, make notes and in case of any doubt, I refer to reference books.
Spacing is a helpful trick for effective learning as it involves writing a specific concept various times with short breaks in between.
Interleaving in terms of learning can be defined as mixing topics and studying them all together, so that you can study with a variety of questions related to the topic in one go and it is one of the finest tools for efficient learning.
Retrieval, as the name suggests, refers to recalling the concept, the principle's , lectures and notes repeatedly while revising.

Metacognition refers to people's understanding of their own thoughts.
I have a good concentration so I require a quiet room to study wherein first I usually start by revising and writing down the main concepts and then explaining them to myself.

Metacognition is the capacity to consider your own reasoning. Having this ability is fundamental for improving your own efficiency and adequacy at school or work. At the point when we apply metacognitive procedures, we become better students. We can control our contemplations as well as our activities significantly more adequately. Some of mine learning strategies are as follows -
1) Self Questioning
2) Teaching the concept i learnt to someone in the easiest way. ( If i am able to make some topic easy then, it means i know it )
3) Awareness of Strengths and weaknesses
4) I always try to write down all the work.

Metacognition is the ability to be able to enhance and improve your existing cognitive skills and abilities like logical reasoning, observation, decision making etc.
Metacognition can also be simply termed as "to learn how to learn ".
There are lots of learning strategies that one can be equipped with to achieve metacognition like studying or learning at regular hours with fixed breaks in between which helps retain focus while studying and also not over load the mind with information which can end up being a waste of the time we spent trying to learn. One of the other learning strategies is to enact as if we are teaching ourselves the matter what we are trying to learn as this results in us paying more attention in the first place as we tend to be more observant towards the subject when we have to teach the same to someone else. Another method is visualization which involves not only the memorization of the given information or the concept but understanding it in depth so as to create a visual representation of the concept or the information, my it be diagram, may it be flow chart, maybe it is an image one undertands with, a map, or simply a picture or visual representation you have imagined about the subject in your mind.

Metacognition can be very helpful in our lives because it helps us control our mind and make a better use of it.
The learning strategies which work best for me are-
1) Flowcharts- This helps me to take a quick overview of the chapter without reading each and every single sentence.
2) Key points- These help me to understand the concept in simple words and also gives me the words which are good to explain the concept.
3) Taking breaks- Taking breaks in between helps me to relax and get ready for the next round.

In simple words Metacognition is the ability of thinking about what you think"," knowing about what you know, becoming "aware of one's awareness" and higher-order thinking skills. It is the awareness of one's own learning or thinking process. This ability encourages students to understand how they learn best. It also helps them to develop self-awareness skills that become important as they get older.
My learning Stratergies are to sit in a quiet and peaceful room and then first making note of what all is to be learnt and revised. After this I start sorting the topics and I assign a specific time limit to each topic. So first with the help of a flowchart I take a quick overview of the chapter. Then I read the notes provided by ma'am and then the NCERT and then I explain them to myself and question myself related to the topic in order to have a better understanding of what I have learnt . In case of any doubts I first try to understand it and if I can't then I discuss about with my teachers and then I write that concept at least two times so that I remember it further.
Spacing is a helpful stratagem which helps in effective learning as it involves writing a specific concept multiple times with small breaks in between.
Interleaving in context to learning can be defined as mixing all the topics and studying them together, so that we can study with a variation of questions related to a topic in one go.
Retrieval in learning involves repeatedly recalling the concept , lectures and notes while revising

Why are we learning metacognition , interleaving, spacing?
Because these are the skills required to learn. Now days we are having a very traditional way of learning means if I want to be a engineer and I decide this at when I am 15 my next 10 years are forcefully captured to become a engineer. I have to study next 10 years to with books.i ahve to go to school , and taking science in my 11 th is the only way to become a engineer and to give next entrance exams for engineering college. In this type of learning my creative mind has it be shut down for next 10 years and just have to do cramming whereas in non traditional way of learning there is none of things like this . In that we have to use our creativity to learn there is no fixed time ,no fixed knowledge.. There is no boundary between history and science . There is no boundary between geography and physics which apparently means interleaving. Mixing two subjects for better understanding.
Now let us see why we learn and why a student studies before a exam even his studying since long. This all is because of stress and fear which is a very needed thing to learn. If there is a class topper it doesn't mean he is not stressed about exams . It means he is more stressed than us for the exams but not that high that he is getting frustrated.if there will be no fear , no stress in. A person for learning, he can't learn . Which means if a person know how to build stress at a level which can help him to focus and concentrate he can learn better. Now if we are learning we need to remember all of that also . And for that there is a very good very oftenly told to us hack of learning. Which is making notes. If you are listening a 1 hour lecture and while listening you make some important key points and make them write and then next day when you read those few key points you will remember all 1 hour lecture .
