I chose this genre because it typically consist of artist that sing about random topics that have no meaning at all or about relationships that they are in. This musics is not relate able to me and it doesn't catch my attention which is why I don't usually listen to it. It is also over played by radio stations and in most public places which makes them even more annoying. In my report, I will write about how pop music is meaningless and a waste of a powerful outlet to spread good messages to the world. Pop music is a fake representation of the world. Most songs are all happy or about relationships which is not how our society is. There are big problems going on in the world and it would be nice if pop artist used their outlet to bring awareness to this. He represents a typical pop artist who has his music played millions of times across the world. To me, his music sounds fake and repetative because of how each of his songs speak of the same thing. His music mostly consist of love songs or party songs that are just catchy melodies that get repeated over and over again throughout all his songs.
