Yes I do believe that it is best for him to face his problems if he runs they will never go away

When I am stressed I do go to people close to me . If I don’t I will feel lonely and it will just make it worse

Letting a person fight their own battles is something that allows people to grow. Babying them wont do them any good in life so I do agree because Hakeem will only grow from these experiences.

When I become frustrated or angry, I have a tendency to deal with it internally as opposed to going to other for help is because I would prefer for others not to be burdened with my issues.

Ive been in both Brisana and Darcy's shoes. In Brisana's case, it hit me primarily as a moment of fear of losing my friend but that fear was quickly drenched when we all just became friends in the end. In Darcy's case, my other friends felt that I was grouping with the wrong group of people, a group that didn't match who I was and brought it up to me before any damage was done. I personally don't believe one person can have only one best friend because a person may find the comfort they find in one best friend in multiple friends. Also the thought of having to choose a specified best friend seems unfair to both sides of the relationship. However, I dont believe you can belong to multiple friend groups. I feel like most people will eventually decide on a friend group they most associate with and that will be the friend they fall into. 1. I agree with Tarah’s advice because he does need to overcome this by himself and face his own battles.
2. Shut down, sometimes not everything needs to be expressed to other people.
3. Never been in the situation but I would feel some type of way. I think a person can only have one best friend. I do think you can belong to more than one group of friends because people like different things and you can have things in common with one group that you don’t with the other.

I would shut down and go to my own world first and then go to my friends afterwards since people need the time and space to think or let out steam by doing my own thing because taking it out upon friends before shutting down would be very uncalled for and may mentally nor maybe physically harm someone. I have kinda been into Darcy's situation and be friends with others but they were kind but doubt that anyone wouldn't like that. I feel happy being around with the friends I can trust. If only the best friend is considered family but overall its possible to have more than just one best friend. I agree because Hakeem needs to learn on his own and figure himself out instead of having other people telling him how to feel even though they are trying to help.

I shut down sometimes and take time to myself. I do this because I think I can figure it out myself and when I can’t I go to someone I trust.

I don’t remember ever being in Darcy’s or Brisana’s situation. I think a person should only have one best friend but can be close with more than one person. 1. No. Roylin had it coming to him for picking on Hakeem for so long.
2. As a friend of Hakeem, you gotta support Hakeem in some of this decisions including deciding to step up Roylin about his issue with Hakeem.
3. There were plenty of time as a child where I never really understood all that I had and I took most of it for granted when in reality there were plenty of other kids my age who weren't fortunate enough to have half of what I had.

No. Looking at the way that Darcy, Jamee and her mom reacted when Aunt Charlotte suggested that they put Grandma in a nursing home, I think it would only hurt the family instead of benefit them like Aunt Charlotte says. 2. I’d definitely say something to him for picking on Hakeem, not only because he’s my friend, but because he’s a human, and no human deserves to be treated disrespectfully
3. Once I seen how others lived in a toxic household it allowed me to appreciate the healthy and loving home I now have. I never truly appreciated it and would complain about the smallest things, until I seen others have it way worse !

He was and wasn’t at the same time because roylin was bullying him and there is a point where Hakeem couldn’t take it anymore and he raged.
I would be right by his side if my friend couldn’t do it himself

Yes and No since it was very immature in a way for Hakeem to throw out his anger at Roylin but yet he had it coming for picking on Hakeem and about his stuttering problem for far too long enough to not leave him alone. 2. I would get involved to hold him back to tell him that what he would was going to do was pretty much petty and not the solution but would have to have a talk with Roylin because overall Roylin needs to stop since the bullying has take a bit too far. It was not Roylin's fault for getting himself shot but with the behavior that he displayed kind of have contributed to the point to where he has gotten shot. 4. In most things I would say no since he wasn't deserved to be shot into the head or something like the one karma that he deserved was the punch in the face from Hakeem. 5. Yes because something personal can heavily affect the person negatively and what Darcy has said in the first chapter that people got their own problems than just messing with Hakeem's stuttering. There was at time where I had a petty argument and tried to vent it out to another friend but it just so happened that one of my relatives family friend has pretty much passed away which was a major impact to my relatives feelings which made me think like "Maybe my petty argument with my friend was a bit of an overreaction than one's death". Overall, they should keep on figuiring out in how to deal with Grandma's condition since patiance can be rewarding at the right time than to suggesting for the Grandma to be sent to a nursing home.
