1. What high school did you attend?

I attended the San Isidro Educational Institution, which was a rural high school located in the village of Sisa Arriba, in the municipality of Umbita, Boyacá. While I was studying there, I had to follow strict rules about punctuality and uniform. We couldn't use cellphones in class, and we had to attend all the classes unless it was absolutely necessary to be absent.

2. When did you graduate?

I graduated in November 2014. I had been studying there for five years when I finally completed my secondary education. Since my graduation, I've already accomplished several academic goals. I shall always remember that special day when I received my diploma. Looking back, I know that I must have worked really hard to reach that milestone.

3. What was your experience at high school like?

My experience at high school was quite solitary. While most students were playing or socializing, I was usually reading in the library. I had to stay focused on my studies, and I genuinely enjoyed it. I think that solitude must have helped me develop a strong love for books. Looking back, I know I won’t forget the peaceful hours I used to spend surrounded by books.

4. Who was your best school friend? Why?

Unfortunately, I didn’t have any close friends in school. While others were making friends, I was dealing with bullying, so I couldn’t trust anyone. It wasn’t possible for me to relate to them, as their interests were very different from mine. But in the future, I will make sure that I support others who may feel lonely or excluded.

5. What did you do after your graduation?

After I graduated, I wasn’t resting like many of my classmates; I was preparing for the ICFES exam, which I had to take seriously. Since I loved reading, I did very well, and I won a scholarship. I was going to study psychology initially, but I changed my mind and decided to study literature instead. I must have made the right decision, because I enjoyed every moment of it.

6. What do you miss from? Why?

What I miss the most from school are the teachers. They used to give me excellent advice, and I think I wouldn’t be the person I am today without their guidance. I also miss the library — it was my sanctuary. Whenever I was feeling sad or rejected, I could go there and feel calm. If I ever have to return to that place, I’m sure I will feel emotional.

7.When did you start the university?

I started university in 2015, and I was studying Literature until I graduated in 2021. For six years, I dedicated myself to that field. Since 2025, I have been studying Business Administration as my second career. Right now, I am focusing on developing new skills, and I know I will continue learning for years to come. This time, I am going to take advantage of every opportunity.

8. Why did you choose your career?

I chose Business Administration because it has a wider field of work, and more job opportunities can be found in both public and private sectors. Besides, I am going to need strong management skills in the future. I also think that, in this second career, I won’t make the same mistakes I made as a younger student. I must be more strategic and committed.
