You need to say whether the evidence is showing neuroscience is ethical or not. Include who and when, what they did, and what they found.

Neuroscience is ethical because it gives us a wider understanding of brain functions and how we work. It gives us a better understanding of diseases and how they can be treated if not medically. For example turning of life support because the patient isn’t responding to the medication or medical treatment. Neuroscience whelps to find out what other factor could affect the disease and if we can manipulate it/them to help the patient.

"Pharmacological enhancement is arguably being practiced now in several psychological domains: enhancement of mood, cognition and vegetative functions, including sleep, appetite and sex. With our growing understanding of neurotransmission at a molecular level, it has been possible to design more selective drugs with better side-effect profiles. In addition, adjuvant therapy with other drugs is increasingly used to counteract the remaining side effects." (emerging ethical issues in neuroscience mj farah.)

Drugs could be used to 'treat criminals' as criminal behaviour can stem from abnormal levels of neurotransmitters.
Example: Cherek et al.(2002) investigated levels of aggression in males with history of criminal behaviour. 1/2 received placebo for 21 days and the other 1/2 received paroxetine(SSRI depressant). Those who received paroxetine had significant decrease in levels of aggression. Therefore, offering pharmacological treatments to criminals can reduce recidivism and make society safer.
