Students tend to fear about being vocal, questioning the teaching about certain topics, & participating in general. My goal for my classroom is to ensure students that learning is best done when it is used as a discussion. Anyone can read off a power point, but engaging students & making them feel apart of a conversation, I noticed, allows them to absorb & understand the information - not just memorize & forget. Teachers are not always right, students should feel comfortable to respectfully ask questions & come up with the correct answer together. My belief is making sure students feel comfortable to participate & learn with everyone in a welcoming, not just take in information & be lectured all day.
