How are you? Are you doing well, or are you still struggling with your own problems? I hope that by the time you read this, life has become kinder and lighter. Hopefully, you’ve achieved the dreams we once talked about. Did we graduate with flying colors? Hahahaha, just kidding (but not really).

Today, as of July 15, 2025, I have learned a lot. From difficult subjects to the lessons that I can always carry in life. I've also faced challenges that tested my strength, faith, and mindset, but I'm still here, pushing forward because of the dreams that have always kept me grounded. I’ve also grown in ways that grades can’t measure, like becoming more responsible and more aware of who I am and who I want to become. In this stage of my life as well, I am still over thinking about my future. I am still trying to figure out what best choices and paths I should choose and take. It’s hard really, and it's very overwhelming because I don’t want to regret my decisions; but I keep reminding myself that feeling overwhelmed is part of the journey.

I hope that by now, you’ve learned to appreciate every little win and to be kind to yourself when things don’t go as planned. I hope you were able to walk on the right path and did not regret any decisions in life. I know there were times when we doubted ourselves, when we felt like giving up, but I also know we kept going. I hope you now know that that’s something to be proud of.

For the future, I hope you continue to be strong, no matter how many storms come your way. Your younger self wants you to keep persevering, even when things feel heavy. I also hope you’ve found the chance to give back to our mama, to show her how much her sacrifices meant. And above all, I hope you're finally living the life you once had to put on hold—the life you deserved but couldn’t fully enjoy because of the circumstances we faced. You’ve earned it.

These are the steps in achieving my said career objective:

1. I am currently taking up STEM Pre-science in Ateneo de Davao Senior High School.

   1. I chose this strand because I believe it will help me prepare for my future career, especially in the medical field, as it strengthens my foundation in science and mathematics.

2. After thinking carefully about my college and future plans, I hope to pursue the new college program APMED in Davao Medical School Foundation (DMSF) because it offers strong pre-medical training, and it also offers a shorter time to become a fully licensed doctor. However, if I am unable to enter the program, I would likely continue with Nursing in Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) College because it is still related to the medical field and will allow me to gain valuable hands-on experience in patient care, which will be beneficial when I eventually pursue medicine.

3. While studying in college, I can already foresee myself struggling with everything as I recognize that I have chosen a very hard path. But, I will try my best to still excel academically and enjoy the experience while it lasts. 

   1. To stay in track with my career objective, I will continuously study about my career goal so that I can have prior knowledge that would help me in the making.

   2. I will make sure to balance my studies with self-care and meaningful experiences that will help me grow both personally and academically.

4. After graduating from college, if my financial situation allows, I would enter medical school (4 years), and continue with my internship and apprenticeship to gain more medical experience, and then take the Licensure Examination to officially begin my journey as a professional in the medical field.

5. After passing the Physician Licensure Examination, I plan to pursue my residency training in cardiothoracic surgery to specialize in treating heart and lung diseases and continue my journey toward becoming a skilled medical surgeon.

6. By this stage, I envision myself performing surgeries that save and improve lives, contributing to the advancement of medical practice, and continuing to learn and grow as a compassionate and skilled healthcare provider.
