(For instance, during the Bubonic Plague, the fleas originally caused the disease. However, the rats were the animals that really spread it.).
Asia was one of the main suppliers of meat and animal products in the Columbian Exchange. These may have included cows, horses, sheep, roosters, rats, and pigs.
"Livestock introduced to the Americas changed indigenous groups’ ways of life."

The livestock that was brought over and bred caused a surplus of food; this food was also good for protein and helping local people maintain a better diet.
Fish were also a very good animal for selling and a good/easy thing to catch in large bunches.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B9FDNEPldjZyVEYwenIwbjBteWs/view

Allowed the worldwide exchange of disease, crops, and animals to be made possible. It's air transport allowed the spread of insects and diseases that wouldn't easily survive longer, slower trips. Modern transport carries on in the tradition of Columbus by promoting a homogenisation of the world's plants and animals. It also affected the new world by exposing Native Americans to disease against which they had not developed resistance. New animals were also introduced and the exchange greatly contributed crop plants to the Old World, which allowed global population to rise.
