Being a loud place, I have tried to emulate the this sense of chaos would feel though overlaying different pieces of paper over the top of each other.
I like the subject matter of text. The variety of scale and thickness I used to write the words give the artwork a sense of energy.
The words and newspaper articles represents the loudness of this world. The pieces of news paper articles on the right represent a office building and how loud that may seem.
I WONDER: what this artwork may look like if I was to expressively draw over everything. I emagine I could overlay a drawing like the artwork from the 'Deep Listening - Embodied Drawing with Sound' class.
Alternatively I could overlay more symbols, like what I explored in my 'Symbolism' class artwork. This would be accompanied by figurative drawing in the same line thinkness and intesity that was used to write the words in this artwork.

In a world where you can hear everyone, you would become aware of everyone's presense compared to if you were to distractedly walk past someone.
I've tried to demonstrate this concept through a multi coloured pattern of people. Where the shape of these people represents our physical form and colour represends the sound of our thoughts. The idenitcle form used to symbolise the people in contrast to the variety of colour, represts how what is inside a person is more important that what is outside.

I next drew over the people with loose line to represent the messy sound of my imaginary world. This was done by listening to music and drawing what I heared. Simmilar to the in class 'deep listening' exersize.

I then completed a continuous line drawing of a girl, as this would give context to the prevous 'deep listening' drawing.
--------
I see: a girl amoungst people and lines above her head.
I think: the lines above her head represent the chaos she is hearing from the world around her.
I wonder: how she could be feeling and thinking.

Using my lino cut I developed in my AT1 folio work, I combined this with the collage concept from figure 'AT2_17 COLLAGE'.

To make the slabs of text from the newspaper feel more
connected, I cut in between the words rather than around the paragraph. I also aligned the texts at the top of the page with each other.
I like how the newspaper I used is pasted on grid paper rather than white papers. The gridded lines provide an even level of detail across the page, merging with the texts from the newspaper.

while the simplisity of my artwork in figure 9 was beutiful, I didn't strongly convey a sense of what it would be like, to exisit in my imaginary world.
Creating a more layered effect you get a sense that there would be no peace or silence. A sense of chaos and lack of clarity in thought.

Trialing a new layout, I think the large scale of the central figure works well as it become a focal point for the artworks.

however, the dark side of the central image doesn't blend with the artwork on the right. A key aespect I am trying to achieve with my artworks is a flow between the different figures, to demonstrate how our thoughts are heared by other people and that there would be an overt interconnection between people, but also chaotic and disorderly world.
