A white dwarf is a stellar core of a previous star that went supernova. It is usually really dense after the compression of the star during the supernova. Since this core contains a lot of energy, its magnetic field, if encountered with our planet, can disrupt our communications and technology. Only stars as small as the sun turn into white dwarfs as bigger stars turn into other types of cores.

A black hole is a region of spacetime exhibiting such strong gravitational effects that nothing not even particles and electromagnetic radiation such as light can escape from inside it. However, only the biggest of stars (also known as giant stars) have enough mass to turn into one.

A neutron star is a collapsed core of an even larger star than our sun. Once collapse, their density becomes one of an atomic nuclei meaning that it doesn't generate heat but cools off over time. Its been said that it was named a "Neutron star" for its composition of mostly neutrons (90%) which have do not have an electrical charge. The neutron star still have protons and electrons (10%) which make up its magnetic field.
