I then continued to do my mood board of the chosen ideas listed in the brief. I chose to do a music video for my final major project. I then went on to detail where i got inspiration from and my favourite music videos to get inspiration. i also done research for what existing products to see from my ideas that were already existing. However we didn't realise that the video material was invalid. During this production i learnt how to work with other people in a proper production team. Compromising and problem solving within a group was the main thing i did in the group. For example when i was told to pan round ben i was suppose to do it when the music started, we compromised to do it at the singing point but then we changed it back because the movement of me going round ben was too slow for when the drop of the song happened. We compromised different angles this involving me standing on a chair to do a high angle shot, me laying on the floor to do a low angle shot and re-filming a lot of scenes. This helped me understand the different angles and how time consuming it is to do parts of filming or complete scenes of footage. I started by filling out every part of the paper work that applied to my fmp. I filled out the location visit sheet and made a storyboard based on my draft one from before i took my photos. By doing a storyboard i maped out exactly how i wanted my photos to look like, what order they would go in and what the purpose of each photo would be. This made my life easier when it came to the concert and doing the photos exactly how i wanted them. However there was one unplanned photography shot i didn't specifically plan for when taking it, but i feel it linked with my photography series well enough. The reason i filled out the location visit sheet, was to let people who will be marking my fop, where i was shooting in order to get my photos. This is to identify key issues by assign the risks of what could go wrong and to map out where i started again doing my fmp. Doing the location reece is basically writing down when, what time and why i was taking the photos i wished to take. This is going to help me plan out the day of when i went to the concert and helps explain to people why i was taking the photos in the first place. My purpose was to show people to be more confident whilst being on stage and showing them that it would be okay by being on stage. For next time this helps me produce the photos exactly how i want them and helps me do my location for my photos. The only issue i found was depending on the weather and doing the right angeled photos that would fit my expectations. As i am not very good at photoshop i played around with the tools for a while until i came up with this edit below. For me as i am very rubbish at photoshop and get very frustrated when something doesn't go right on photoshop it took me longer than it should of when editing my photos. The only issues i faced was clicking on tools i didn't like the look of when editing. For example the 'Art history tool' was a main one i didn't like. For the image below it was the issue of trying to get the tool to colour everywhere black and white. When zooming in on the image to get it more accurate i lost the tool i had before and i couldn't find it again. However whilst looking i came across the 'History tool' this was make the parts of the image back to the original colour. So i colour the image in black and white. For me having this i didn't feel it was bright enough for my photo, so i went over the coloured areas with another tool called the 'dodge tool'. The only issues i faced with editing is what to do when editing. i didn't know exactly what i wanted to do when it came to editing my photos and i struggled with how to edit some. When it came to enhancing the lights above the stage, as I'm not good with photoshop, i kept forgetting where the tool was to lighten the photo and darken the top. So on the majority of my photos i have done the same type of editing. I went on youtube to watch tutorials to see what i could do differently and learnt how to break images so it looked like pieces of the images had smashed away from the model. However my photos aren't portraits so i feel that this tutorial didn't help me but it taught me something new on photoshop. I blurred the crowd a little below so the focal point was the people on stage. Again I'm not good at photoshop and didn't know the different types of tools, i tried but again it didn't work. I found this effective to have a wider range of opinions when it came to before my FMP so i knew if my idea was good enough or not. I should have done this sooner but i had to re-do paperwork as i started again. In this lesson i also created questions and filmed a focus group for my finished FMP. I found this effective because i didn't think my photos were effective in that i didn't edit them enough or take better quality photos than i could of done and that they aren't really effective to people. By having this focus group it had given me more confidence in my photos as people really did get inspired by them as the editing was effective for people to look at. For example most people commented on my second photo when the image was black and white, whilst being blurred out where as the line of people were in normal colour, so the focus was on the line of people. I also did the visual/audio experiment sheet in this lesson, so not only my experiments are on padlet but i have explained the reasons for them in detail. I also completed the research analysis sheet that i had previously started. Filling out these sheets helps in that i know exactly what i have done towards the final image.
