The only thing for entertainment was the radio and board games. On weekends the family would go shopping. The average pay a week was as little as $7- $17 while the common doctor would get a salary of $60 a week. From time to time, families would only visit the doctors if it was a serious condition. Women even gave birth at home. To save money families would have shared houses.
