Week 1. Start looking at different song ideas for the upcoming project, whether an original song or a cover. (low effort, high priority)

Week 2. Decide on a song that I will record for this project and start learning and perfecting it so I can start recording it for the upcoming weeks.  (high effort, high priority)

Week 3. Record a demo version of the song that I am recording, this could be through either a video or voice notes. Just so I can listen back and see how it sounds. (low effort, low priority)

Week 4. Start recording the instrumentals for the studio version of the song, which could be as simple as recording and layering acoustic guitar or perhaps adding a bass track. (high effort, high priority)

Week 5. Keep recording the instrumentals for this project and hopefully finish all of the instrumental layering.

Week 6. Record the vocal track and harmony this week as well as clean any messy parts up so It can sound as professional as possible. (high effort, high priority)

Week 7. Start mixing and adding FX to the track, this consists of E.Q, compression, limiter and perhaps some recording FX like echo and reverb. (high effort, low priority)

in this project I am required to record two versions of a song, this is through DAW and a live recording.

I am required to document all of my progress through a diary.

feelings-

I think so far I am very confident with my progression throughout the project and have enjoyed it thus far, id says the only thing that is worrying me is making sure that I have all the evidence that I need as well as completing all of the diaries and d other various work needed for my padlet.

Evaluation-

i think overall my experience with this project has been a positive one and i have loved recording music for this project and have found the padlet work to be manageable even though i would have preferred to have done more work during the study week. Still, circumstances were not as I would have preferred.

Analysis-

for this assignment, we are assigned to make two versions of a song (live & studio) and then document the various aspects of them by doing weekly diaries.

conclusion-

I think for this assignment I could have done an original as opposed to a cover, as I have many originals that I have written and recorded over the past 2 years or so.

action plan-

if i were to do this project again, i would record an original track and take more time with the recording side of things as well as plan harder in advance.

I have uploaded my padlet and an mp3 of the track that I have been recording and mixing for the last 7 weeks and have had feedback regarding it.

Feelings-

I am overall happy with the feedback as I was given a lot of positive comments regarding the work that I have done thus far as well as some points at which I need to improve, for example getting the levels right on my recording.

Evaluation-

I think overall things went well regarding the feedback as the individual giving the feedback wrote very positively regarding my padlet work and let me know of the certain aspects which I could improve on.

Analysis-

I think I am making good progress regarding this project and am happy with the trajectory at which it is going.

Conclusion-

I think I could have spent more time getting the levels perfect on the mp3 recording before I submitted it as that was one of the main issues that was brought up in the feedback.

Action plan-

If I were to do this project again I would spend more time making sure that the mix was perfect as well as making sure that I had all the necessary material to upload for when the time came to submit.
