The U.S came up with a plan to keep them out of the war. They didn't want to be involved. They had made it illegal for U.S citizens to sell or transport weapons to the opposing nations. This acts purpose was to limit and minimize the United States in future wars.

Kristallnacht

The time when Nazi leaders vandalized the ownership of Jewish citizens. The Nazi people and Germans destroyed homes, businesses, synagogues, etc. They ran through Austria and Germany. The name "Kristallnacht" refers to the litter of broken glass left that night in the streets.

Invasion of Poland

After Hitler had agreed to sign the Non-Aggression Pact the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany had decided to invade Poland. Germany used the strategy of Blitzkrieg, to avoid a long phase of war, and defeated Poland in 21 days.

Battle of Britain

Germany invades Britain by aircraft. The British deal with the damage and keep fighting. There were at least 2,000 bombers a night for over two months. Germany ends up blocking Britain by sea and ends up desperate for America's help. Both sides end up in severe damage, but Britain wins and adds an extension for them in the war.

Attack on Pearl Harbor

This was a surprise military attack by the Japanese against the U.S naval base in Hawaii. The 350 aircraft that Japan had sunk/badly damaged eighteen U.S naval ships. Including eight battle ships, damaged 300 aircraft, and killed 2,403 of our men. After this the U.S immediately declared war against Japan. ( Which got them into war )

Battle of Midway

Battle of Midway was mostly entirely fought with aircraft. Japan attacked the U.S naval base and caused damage to Midway. The U.S destroyed Japan;s first line of carrier strength and most of their best trained naval pilots. The Midway facilities had minor damage done to them. Japan lacked operation which caused the U.S to win.

D-Day

It was a great day that brought together the allied land, sea, and air units. This day was the largest amphibious invasion in history. The troops landed on the coast of Normandy to free Europe and defeat Germany. The U.S. wanted to reclaim their freedom. This was a tough battle many people were killed and injured and a lot of our equipment was lost but this was the beginning of freedom.

Atomic Bombing

The explosion on Hiroshima immediately killed an estimated 80,000 people. which was only a start, others were killed due to the exposure of radiation. Three days later another bomb dropped on Nagasaki killing an estimated amount of 40,000 people plus radiation exposure. Later Japan's emperor Emperor Hirohito announced that they will surrender unconditionally on the radio.

Battle of Iwo Jima

U.S. Marines invaded the Japanese base after months of fighting involving aircraft. The Japanese defenders were dug into bunkers to keep safe cause of the volcanic rocks. Around 70,000 marines and 18,000 Japanese people took place in this battle. Around 1,080 of the 22,000 Japanese troops defending the island survived.

Bombing of Dresden

The royal air force had dropped over 1,000 heavy bombers hitting Germany for 3 days straight. This was American and Great Britain coming together to try and defeat Germany. Around 25,000-200,000 dead. This count is unsure to all the bombing burnt the bones is peoples body; only ashes and parts were left. Three months later Hitler committed suicide in his bunker; eight days later the German High Command signed the unconditional surrender of all German forces.
