I believe Winnie the Pooh has intellectual Integrity because he treats others with respect and kindness. In return, those around him treat him the same way. His character is always considering the feelings of others, and because Pooh Bear follows the golden rule, he has intellectual integrity.

I think that Aang from the popular Nickelodeon show, "Avatar the Last Airbender" exemplifies intellectual integrity. He is a monk who, throughout the entire series, advocates for respecting others just as you would respect yourself. He is very considerate of how he treats other people because he realizes how it can affect them for the better. Because of his attitude on life, he made an impact on the world and countless friends along the way.

As an example of intellectual courage I chose New York's Rep. AOC (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez) because she reflects someone who speaks on major issues that others in her party, as well as the Republican party, refuse to speak about. Things such as climate change, the flaws in U.S. immigration laws, among other things. She does not fear those who do not like her or agree with her. She speaks purely for the sake of changing the world for the better and helping those who have not yet had a voice in this country.

I chose SpongeBob SquarePants as an example of intellectual integrity because not only does he carry himself with a good spirit, but he constantly cares or shows so much love to those around him despite of how he gets treated. A good example of SpongeBob's intellectual integrity being portrayed is how Squidward is constantly mean or rude to SpongeBob and despite all that, SpongeBob always does the complete opposite and treats him nicely and if anything expresses his love for Squidward even more.

I think Meredith Grey is a good example of intellectual courage, because she stands up for what she believes in no matter the consequences. She's always willing to put the needs of her patients first, even if it's against protocol. Although some of her colleagues may not agree with her extreme courage to put patients first even if there's consequences, they respect that she has the fearlessness to do so. She has impacted many of her patients and friends with her courage, and will most likely continue to do so.

Since he rose to fame at the age of 16, he has shown nothing but compassion towards others. Tiana inspires many women that no matter their situation, they can get through it with just one goal. She was courageous enough to never give into her doubts and in the end this pays off.

The name of the individual below is Arthur Morgan. He is a playable character in the video game, Red Dead Redemption 2. He matches the Intellectual Independence trait at the end of the game. At first, he is a henchman for a ruthless western outlaw gang. Over the course of the game, he develops a firm understanding of the corruption that his gang leader posses and an incurable case of tuberculosis. He accepts his own fate and decides that he will think independently for the remaining days he has to live. He comes to the realization that he could potentially ruin everything his boss had the gang work for. He comes to the conclusion that it is the right thing to do for everyone involved. His next actions bring the player to decide how Arthur will foil the leader's plan which realistically never considered the betterment of the whole gang. The player is left with two options: one that is selfish and the other is selfless. Which ever one is chosen, the result of the decision still tares the leaders plan apart.

Simba represents intellectual courage throughout the Lion King. Simba was betrayed by his own uncle and from this situation he went through self discovery to stand up against Scar after he killed Simba’s father and blamed it on him. In the beginning of the plot after Mufasa was killed Scar threatened Simba to leave the kingdom, through the years that Simba grew up with Timon and Pumbaa Simba discovered who he truly was. At a key moment Simba developed courage to go back to the kingdom and seek justice for what his uncle had done to his father and to his kingdom. Therefore, Simba stood up against the “king” even though it was not popular or usual to do. In addition, Simba rechecked his beliefs to remember that his father had always taught him to have courage to fight for what is right. Simba using intellectual courage helped him find a solution to his life long dilemma.

I chose Elsa as an example of intellectual humility because she recognizes that she does not know everything about things she thought she did. Although in the beginning of the movie she acted as if she knew everything about her gift of controlling ice/snow she later recognizes she does not. Throughout the movie she shows how she doesn't know everything about her gift like how to completely control it, how much harm can it do, and how much benefits it can bring. One example was when she put her kingdom of Arendelle in winter and didn't know but according to her she was doing the best for the kingdom. With the help of her sister she realizes how she can truly help the kingdom. She realizes that she doesn't know it all and but can learn to better understand her power as well as other and receive the help of others to do so.

She still stands up for what she believes because she knows what swiper is doing is incorrect.

I think that the character of Angelica Schuyler in the musical Hamilton exhibits the basis of intellectual independence. She was an American socialite and very independent due to her being the eldest. In the musical, she is portrayed as a woman seeking knowledge and wants to start a revelation for women's rights. She exhibits aspects of intellectual independence by accepting and inviting new perspectives, but also values her own beliefs. She is neither naive nor gullible to believe everything she is told because she uses her beliefs and logical reasoning to make decisions. She showed fairness and independence by making the decision to allow her sister Eliza to be with Hamilton knowing that, although she had feelings for him, she could not marry him because she had a responsibility to socially climb in society.

This is Desmond Doss. He was a Seventh-Day Adventist in WWII who did not believe in violence. Now I chose Desmond Doss for intellectual empathy because of a certain battle that was so significant it that it was recreated into a movie by the name of “Hacksaw Ridge” which is the site of the Battle of Okinawa in 1945. The battle on May 4 had great slaughter and many of the soldiers retreated. But Doss stayed to retrieve all of his ally soldiers. But Doss being very religious, understood that the Japanese enemies they were fighting against are all human as well, and he brought them back as well as he found quite a few. Doss ended up saving 75 soldiers. His religious beliefs not to kill and to help those regardless of who they are is what led me to say that Desmond Doss has intellectual empathy.

Tanjiro Kamado is an excellent example of intellectual empathy. His goal is to avenge his family that was killed by the head demon. However, the only way to fight them is by becoming a demon slayer. Throughout his journey, he fought many demons to fight the boss finally. Along the way, some demons experienced a troubled past and lost their memory about it. When Tanjiro encounters them, he realized that some demons have not become one by volunteer but forced. He could sense the sorrow, pain, and regret in their eyes of wanting to leave this world so they won't get to harm others. Thus, although he has to kill them, instead of disrespecting them like the other slayers, he mourns instead.

For Intellectual Independence I thought of Shikamaru Nara. Shikamaru Nara is from the anime known as Naruto, and throughout the show he has shown time and time again to think for himself, as well as take in plenty of information from his teammates, but most importantly he is a Squad Captain, and it is his main focus to make the decisions that may or may not cost the lives of his friends. Another reason why Shikamaru is a great example for intellectual independence is because he was one of the few people in his village that believed in the protagonist Naruto, while almost everyone in his village despised Naruto, who later came to be known as a Legendary Hero.

Intellectual Humility

The character I chose for intellectual humility was Harry Potter. I believe his character arc symbolizes what it means to grow up humbly. Although he was left with a large sum of money after his parents died (he didn't even know), having being raised by strict guardians who barely treated him like a human being helped him become the person he became. When the realization hit that he was nowhere near being as small and irrelevant when he was introduced to the wizard world, he was never changed by fame and fortune. This was shown when famous people would provide him with free things such as Lockhart in the Chamber of Secrets, but he preferred to pay his own way, giving the books to the Weasleys, or the fact that he chose Ron and Hermione to be his friends instead of Malfoy.
