So to start, we had the automobile, which became a very big seller in American economy in the 1920's. For the most part it stayed like that up until the 1970's. Then we have railroads which wasn't very busy, and suffered major economic losses. However, the airplane, which started as a mail- carrying service, was doing quite well. With the popularity of the automobile, in America, the outcome of that was the creation of Route 66. Route 66 was made to help people travel across the US and make it easier for goods to be transferred long distance faster. Not only was the automobile and Route 66 getting more and more popular, so were airlines. Eventually, the popularity of all the other transportation "ways" made railroad industry's go out of business. 

What role did credit play in the American economy in the 1920's?

It acted as a sort of solution to the issue of luring customers to purchase the vast amount of goods that was produced each year. 

How did the installment plan fuel a superficial prosperity?

Economists and business owners worried about how installment buying might be getting out of hand. They feared is was a sign of "fundamental weakness" behind a superficial economic prosperity. 

Why did some businesses including farmers not do well in the 1920's?

Even with this all around loved music by all, African Americans still remained the main targets of discrimination. Eventually through time, whites started entering Jazz clubs and integrating, just a little, it still helped the progression towards whits and blacks co-living.
