i think it is a little bit of both. It is good that they continue the tradition and that it is not lost. It's a great way for the inhabitants of New Zealand to stick to their traditions and roots, but it can also be offensive to the Maori when the dance seems like it's used mostly for commercial reasons and not to honour the culture itself.
