1. Pediculosis is the infection that comes with head lice. It is caused by close and personal contact. It's a parasite.
2. To prevent getting it you should not share items that touch the head such as combs, brushes and out you hair up or in a pony tail. You can use tea tree oil.
3. If after 8-12 hours of being treated the lice are still alive and moving slowly, do not retreat because it will take longer to kill the lice.
4. To treat head lice you must get a treatment from the doctors. The house members should be checked for lice. Before you begin the treatment make sure that any thing that can be stained is out of reach. Apply the lice medicine and put on clean clothes after treatment. After, comb any of the dead and living lice out of your hair after 8-12 hours. Wash bed linens and clothing (in HOT water) the infected person has worn. You should also put items you cannot wash (such as dolls or stuffed animals) in sealed trash bags for at least 3 days to kill the lice.
5. The symptoms are itching on the scalp neck and ears, visible lice on scalp, and lice eggs (nits) on hair shafts.
6. It is transmitted by sharing combs, brushes, hats, helmets, clothing, earphones, and close, personal contact.
