         <description><![CDATA[<p>Developmentally appropriate classroom activity for Phonemic awareness that supports development, and an explanation of how the activity will accommodate the needs of learners at various developmental levels.</p><p><br/></p><p>Phonemic awareness activity: during this activity, the teacher will say a word, such as cat</p><p>Student students will then begin to identify the beginning of the word</p><p>Teacher will then ask if I change the C to a H what word would it be then?</p><p>The teacher will then began exchanging the beginning of the word sounds with different simple words</p><p>Differentiation:</p><p>Beginning learners will only focus on the first sounds of the word</p><p>Learners that are developing will begin blending or segmenting words orally</p><p>Advanced learners will work on phoneme deletion and substitute beginning, middle or ending sounds</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Developmentally appropriate classroom activity for Phonics that supports development, and an explanation of how the activity will accommodate the needs of learners at various developmental levels.</p><p><br></p><p>Phonics Activity: within this activity, students will learn how to build a word</p><p>Student students will be provided with letter tiles</p><p>The teacher will give them a word to spell</p><p>Students will listen to the teacher carefully and identify each sound of the word while placing the correct letters to spell the word</p><p>The teacher and the students will then read the words together, then practice swapping different letters to make new words</p><p>Differentiation:</p><p>Beginning learners will match different picture cards with this the correct beginning sounds</p><p>Learners that are developing can practice building and reading, simple words using letter tiles</p><p>Advance learners, can practice blending words as well as decoding sentences</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Developmentally appropriate classroom activity to support Fluency development and an explanation of how the activity will accommodate the needs of learners at various developmental levels.</p><p><br/></p><p>Fluency activity:&nbsp;</p><p>Students will practice, echoing and speed reading</p><p>The teacher will model reading short sentences, such as the cat sat</p><p>Students will then echo what the teacher has read, matching their pace and expression</p><p>Then students will then practice speed reading by reading the sentence multiple times to help them build accuracy, and automaticity</p><p>Differentiation:</p><p>Beginner learners can echo one word at a time with teacher modeling</p><p>Developing learners can practice echo reading short sentences independently</p><p>Advanced learners can practice reading multiple sentences or a short passage to practice, fluency, phrasing and expression</p><p><br></p>]]></description>

This activity will start by asking students comprehension related questions such as "what would you eat if you were hungry caterpillar", I will also encourage students to use their vocabulary they have learned throughout their answer to the question. This activity supports development because it helps students, practice, oral language, and also promotes comprehension by connecting words to personal experiences. This activity will be differentiated by helping emerging learners by providing them with sentence starters, medial learners will be asked to provide for a sentence with their vocabulary words used, and advanced learners will be question as to Why or How to build a deeper understanding.&nbsp;</p></li></ul><p><br></p>]]></description>

This has visual explanations on the relationship involving the code and language comprehension.</p>]]></description>
