Differentiation:

Beginner learners can echo one word at a time with teacher modeling

My activity of choice would be creating a discussion circle with the students and providing a question of the day. This activity will start by asking students comprehension related questions such as "what would you eat if you were hungry caterpillar", I will also encourage students to use their vocabulary they have learned throughout their answer to the question. This activity supports development because it helps students, practice, oral language, and also promotes comprehension by connecting words to personal experiences. This activity will be differentiated by helping emerging learners by providing them with sentence starters, medial learners will be asked to provide for a sentence with their vocabulary words used, and advanced learners will be question as to Why or How to build a deeper understanding.
