Albert Bandura did the Bobo doll experiment to show this.

Framing: The way words are phrased. (Surgery can have 90% success or 10% failure).

Negative Reinforcement: Form of operant conditioning where an aversive stimulus is taken away.

Belief Perseverance: The tendency to cling to initial beliefs even after your basis is proven wrong.

Frontal Lobe: Controls Behavior, learning, Personality, and voluntary movement.

Positive Reinforcement: Giving a positive reward to help encourage the same behavior.

Generalization: When you react to a stimulus similar to the one that your were classically conditioned to react to (Classical Conditioning).

Elaborative Rehearsal: When you associate new things you learn to things you already know to give it meaning.

Correlation: relationship between two variables.

Cerebellum: Controls Balance and Coordination.

Schedules of Reinforcement: FR, FI, VR, VI. Variable is random. Fixed has a set number. Interval is based on time. Ratio is based on response.

Depth Perception: The visual ability to perceive distance and the three different dimensions.

Limbic System: Amygdala, Hippocampus, Hypothalamus. Hippocampus controls memory. Amygdala controls emotions. Hypothalamus controls body temp, hunger, thirst.

Punishment: Stimulus that decreases the likelihood of a behavior being repeated.

Discrimination: The ability to distinguish between the conditioned stimuli and other stimuli.

Absolute Threshold: The lowest level of stimulus that a person can detect 50% of the time.

Retina: area in eye where light is received.
