The characters are all very compelling and the plot is full of twists and connections that make it impossible to put down. The writing style is such that the book sometimes feels lyrical. I read 1984. Now
This book... was worth reading. You know how adults are always talking about iPhones and shaking their fists and saying "This is just like Big Brother!" Well, 1984 is what they're referencing.
The main character can be whiny at times, but the story itself is really cool. (And the ending leaves you like.. WHHAHAHAHOMG NO WAY!!!!!!!!)
It makes you think like JD from Heathers and question society, and it raises some really great points about what the government should/shouldn't be able to do.
