         <title>Lufthansa and Singapore Airlines</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><a href="https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2017/10/03/singapore-airlines-lufthansas-joint-venture-takes-off/">https://www.businesstraveller.com/business-travel/2017/10/03/singapore-airlines-lufthansas-joint-venture-takes-off/</a><br><strong>The basics:</strong> Singapore airlines and Lufthansa airlines are partnering together as they both have a similar customer base and they by combining they can offer a wider range of flights.<br><br><strong>The advantages</strong> for the individual airlines are that they can offer a wider range of itineraries and fare pricing strategies both of which can contribute to increased sales revenue.<br><br><strong>The disadvantages</strong> for the individual airlines are that if either airline runs into financial difficulties then there entire partnership could be put at risk. Or if one airline encounter particularly poor PR it could tarnish the other companies reputation. Such as the even that happened to Malaysia Airlines and their missing crafts.<br><br><strong>Overall this is likely to be effective</strong> as the airline customers are extremely price sensitive so any cuts to the price could result in increased sales and revenue. Given that they are both premium airlines their offerings fit together well and neither airline will suffer from a dilution of brand quality, an important long term consideration for long term customer loyalty of high end customers.</div>]]></description>

This brings both markets together, increasing the demand for each item from the collaboration. The past few years Louis Vuitton's performance has been steady, however after collaborating with Supreme it has been named the best fashion brand in the world.<br><strong>Disadvantages </strong>: However although the retail prices for the items are high and people are willing to pay, many has mentioned that the material used on the clothing and accessories are Supreme's material which is not as high quality as Louis Vuitton's. A few have complained that since it is Louis Vuitton they did expect better quality materials.<br><strong>Overall</strong> this collection has been very effective because both brands introduced the market to the Streetwear culture and the high end fashion market, increasing sales for both of the brands. Despite the comments, the collection sold out incredibly fast and both brands now have an increase in demand due to the fact that their market is now bigger.</div>]]></description>

Soft drink products: A&amp;W, Canada Dry, Crush, Dr Pepper, Mott's, 7 Up, Schweppes and Squirt), the world's third-largest soft drink company, said it will team up with the District-based Carlyle Group to create an "un-cola" empire to battle against Coke and Pepsi. &nbsp;<br><br>The advantages: Since Cadbury wants to create an "un-cola" empire Cadbury will need money to invest in this project. Carlyle group&nbsp; is one of the most successful investment firm with 128 billion dollar of asset, this is an advantage to Cadbury since they will have the money to create the empire.<br><br>The disadvantages: If Cadbury and their project doesn't go as planned the amount of money that is invested into Cadbury by Carlyle group might be a waste. This will ruin Cadbury's reputation and decrease the chances of other big investors investing in the business when new project is created by Cadbury making it harder for Cadbury to launch other new ideas and increasing risks when it comes to the financial part without any investors contributing.&nbsp;<br><br>Overall, this might not be effective as Coke and Pepsi is consider one of the biggest fizzy drink company going against it and trying to build an "un-cola" empire maybe too difficult to do since their brand is very big meaning that they will have a large number of loyal customers. Given that Cadbury is also a well known company this can have a negative effect on the brand image and may reduce the chances of  other investors  investing in the business in the future. </div>]]></description>

Central has local relationships and more commercial experience as of operating in Thailand. The fintech services venture would benefit from JD Finance’s deep knowledge of the fintech sector and Central Group’s immense retail resources to offer innovative financial products and services aimed at benefiting both consumers and partners <br><strong>The disadvantages: </strong>Businesses with different culture and possibly different management styles might not blend well together. JD will be in fear of being exploited as their expertise in fintech is not to be found in Thailand. If Central fails in this project of putting up a e-commerce platform, JD will have to suffer too.<br><strong>Overall this is likely to be effective as </strong>Central Group is the leader in its market and it has a very stable customer base so the joint venture is not likely to fail. JD has an expertise in fintech which they can help imply on Central Group in Thailand which has a huge potential e-commerce market.</div>]]></description>

As Qualcomm and China operate in different countries, Qualcomm can exploit the market in China to their benefit. <br><br><strong>The Disadvantages: </strong>&nbsp;</div><div>Qualcomm owns 45% of the shares of this joint venture while China owns 55%, Qualcomm is not getting even half of the profts back compared to how much they are investing into the joint venture, 2.85 billion yuan.<br><br><strong>Overall:</strong><br>We can't quite tell if this joint venture is going to be a success or not as they just recently joined together.&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

They are creating many jobs opportunities to local Maldivians. Investing in hotel will provide a stable recurring income to grow the contribution from hotel and property investment to form a more substantial portion of its earning.<br><br><strong>The disadvantages:</strong> If their project doesn't well as planned, the amount of money that invested to the project might be a wasted. They would be difficult for them to have enough money to open their second hotel property in Maldives in 2019.<br><br><strong>Overall:</strong> This might not be really effective as the future outlook for tourism investments in Maldives is bright and the latest visitor arrivals from Europe and the Asia Pacific remained strong. It might be difficult for them as well as there are many hotel and resorts in Maldives which means there would be increasing in competition.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The Basics :<br>On the 17th of July 2017, both Nike and OFF-White leaked images of Nike shoes, such as the classic Jordan 1, envisioned through the eyes of OFF-WHITE's lead designer and owner, Virgil Abloh. The release, nicknamed "The Ten", would take place in numerous locations around the globe from London to Los Angeles first releasing the "REVEALING" pack which contained half the 10 eventually released shoes. <br><br>Overall this collaboration would have benefited both as Nike who recently took a fall in stock due to Adidas's success would have experienced many more sales and a massive amount of marketing and OFF-WHITE, a well-known high-end street wear &amp; designer brand would have similarly experienced media limelight as this collaboration was and still is highly anticipated and resulting in massive mark-ups on the re-sale market with certain pieces of the collab selling for excess of $2000. <br><br>The advantages of this collaboration are that the two massive brands will receive and increase in sales, and on the OFF-WHITE's end, they will receive customers from Nike's customer base who, through this collaboration, will have discovered the beautiful and creative clothing sold by Virgil's OFF-WHITE.<br><br>However, this collaboration definitely negatively impacted the second market on which these shoes would have mostly been sold, this resell marks up the retail prices of the pieces sold by the collaboration, and due to hype and limited quantity these prices shoot up, meaning the consumer will have to pay, in some cases more than 10 times the price that the shoes were sold for. All because this re-sell market aims only for profit with very little regard for the consumer or their wallet.</div>]]></description>

This creates rapid customer engagement for the brand. As many customers are willing to spend more money on the collection before it sells out. <br><br>- This created engaged with both NARS fans and Steven's fans giving the product recognition for its quality and the artwork recognition for its sophisticated composition. <br><br><strong>The disadvantages: </strong><br>- Steven Klein got negativity from some fans for collaborating with a brand with an untraceable supply chain (as they test on animals) <br><br><strong>Overall:</strong><br>The collaboration between Nars and Steven Klein has been a success in engaging customer activity. This proves that collaborations with other artists are just as effective as launching a new product and can help grow the brand and its reputation with different groups of people</div>]]></description>

Singapore Airlines will be able to get help from Air New Zealand in order to try and dominate the New Zealand market.<br>The disadvantages: the airlines might have problem working together because they have different cultures. If one of the airline goes bankrupt or there is a plane crash, the airline partner might also face backlash as a result.<br>Overall: This partnership should be effective because they can gain more money from increasing more flights so that they can serve more customers. Both companies are also unlikely to face backlash from the fact that both airlines has very good safety statistics so it's very unlikely for them to fail.</div>]]></description>

Beyond Meat is a relatively new, yet heavily funded startup.</li><li>By working with an environmentally friendly company, it helps Pepsi reach its goals of being a more health-conscious, sustainable company. This includes cutting on plastic use, as well as reducing the usage of unhealthy ingredients such as sodium and sugars into their products.</li><li>Pepsi can venture into another lucrative industry - plant-based research.</li></ul><div><strong>Disadvantages:</strong></div><ul><li>Who gets the blame if this venture fails to succeed or reach expectations?</li><li>How will the profits be split? Based on the amount of work invested or a 50/50 distribution? This is all up to the two companies, and if they don't come to terms with how profits are split then it could be detrimental to their success as a joint venture.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Will this be successful?<br></strong>I personally think that this venture will be a successful one due to the fact that it involves two relatively successful companies: one with global success and the other being highly lucrative especially in the modern era. As said already, Beyond Meat gets the backing of a revered company, and Pepsi gets to meet its sustainability and health targets.</div>]]></description>

Each will have one - third ownership in the company, which will be worth around 7 billion euros ( 274 billion Thai Baht ).<br><br>By 2030, Automotive Cells' partners hope to have increased the company's industrial capacity to at least 120 gigawatt-hours. But AXS’s goal of greater accessibility for anyone living with disabilities was immediately paused by the limitations of its initial design, as many users found it difficult to navigate. To keep the races going, they launched a  joint venture with iRacing motor esports program to produce a simulated version of their scheduled race.<br><br>Through iRacing’s technology, they managed to replicate the tracks and races of the competition that had to be canceled. Starting on March 15th, NASCAR drivers would log into iRacing’s system, using the steering wheel with pedals to race virtually. It was first launched in Australia in 2017, and is now sold around the world, with several flavors including triple chocolate (with chocolate filling) and mint filling. The smallest package comes with two cookies and contains about 170 calories. Which means 85 calories per cookie.&nbsp; Although this is technically NOT a joint venture as Oreo and Cadbury are both owned by the same snack food empire, Mondelez International, but the two brands usually operate independently.<br><br>In addition to this they also collaborated on similar products such as Oreo-filled Cadbury chocolate bars, and instant Oreo flavored Cadbury hot chocolate drink, bringing together the best of both. I hope they develop this product line further.&nbsp;<br><br>This collaboration is also beneficial to both companies as it partly eliminated the need for competition between the two’s marketing teams, now you don’t have to pick one over the other. Perhaps the only downside is that it is unhealthy to eat, yet it can be quite addictive. Prices vary between countries.<br><br>I hope to find one in seven eleven again soon.</div>]]></description>

Their vision is to become the most responsive real-estate group to their customers.&nbsp;<br><br>They have joint ventured with Mitsubishi estate in order to blend Japanese style of architecture philosophy with thai living&nbsp; behavior accumulating into the perfect condominium, which had been tailored especially to cater towards the thai living style in order to maximize convenience and comfort.<br><br>Mitsubishi estate will provide the architects necessary to fulfill the design aspect of the project along side AP who will supply project managers and other employees who has a deep understanding of the thai behavior patterns.          <title>Gucci x Adidas </title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>https://www.gucci.com/us/en/st/capsule/adidas-gucci<br><br>The collaboration started in the fall of 2022 between Gucci and Adidas and is rumoured to start their second collaboration in 2023. The collaboration between the two started as Gucci is known as a high-end luxury brand Adidas was the opposite and more affordable to the consumer market. Given the difference between the two Gucci and Adidas collaborated to make sportswear but also dealt with Gucci’s fashion trademark to make more athleisure wear.&nbsp;<br><br>The two started when the COVID-19 pandemic was spreading the fashion industry was falling behind and people were mostly on lockdown, unable to leave their houses. Many still wanted to exercise and do home workout routines, this sparked the collab between sportswear and a high-end street fashion brand. When this collaboration occurred it helped spring Gucci to the top of the world's hottest fashion brand, while Adidas was ranked in thirteenth place.<br><br>Advantages:</div><ul><li>As the pandemic heavily affected the fashion industry both brands had to find new inspiration to meet the consumer’s new needs and their lockdown lifestyle. When both came to collaborate together they were able to produce clothing that valued performance and comfort while also being fashionable and trendy.</li><li>Reduced time to enter the market - as both firms bring in their fashion sense and manufacturing knowledge it helped speed up the time taken to design, manufacture and enter the market.</li><li>The two brands were newsworthy, well-known, could easily catch consumer’s attention, shared risks, knowledge and costs, etc.</li><li>Boosted the two brands in the world's top fashion brands.</li><li>Adidas earned a higher brand quality image by +6.4% and purchase consideration by +4.3%.</li><li>Increased sales and recognition between the two brands.</li></ul><div><br></div><div>Disadvantages:&nbsp;</div><ul><li>As Gucci is a luxury brand while Adidas is more mass when the two collabs it became hard for Gucci to maintain its brand equity and Adidas to meet their standards on their core value of performance and comfort. Both brands were slightly unable to meet their original goal and expectations from their specific target market.</li><li>Many of the product's prices were still very high, the starting price was $253 (around 9051.71 baht in 2023) and to $4,200 (around 150,265.50 baht in 2023).</li><li>The products made were still very niche as they were based on sportswear. So the target market wasn't as large.</li><li>Some consumers thought the collab was 'boring' and was not the best design that the two brands could have come up with.</li></ul><div><br>So far the collaboration between the two brands has been a clear success with sales and positive recognition between them. The difference between the two brands brought a new and unique design into the world of fashion which did benefit both parties as a joint venture.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>

It is a joint venture between a private sector company and a government owned (public sector) company known as United States Department of Defense.&nbsp;</div><div><br>SpaceX will bring their “cutting-edge” technology with the resources (likely military based) from the Department of Defense and they will launch these satellite of the benefit of both parties. <br><br><strong>Advantages:</strong>&nbsp;</div><ul><li>SpaceX will launch military satellites into low Earth orbit to provide an enchanted global and situation awareness and for providing much better communication services for the public.&nbsp;</li><li>Provides the Department of Defense to stay ahead in terms of technology and providing the military with more accurate intelligence and data.</li><li>Enables Department of Defense to respond quickly to changing conditions and make informed decision on the battlefield (due to advanced sensors and cameras of satellites).</li><li>Allows SpaceX access to expertise and resources from Department of Defense. Could help SpaceX refine their technology further.</li><li>Reduces costs of launching satellites, could help make space travel more affordable for everyone&nbsp;</li></ul><div><br><strong>Disadvantage:</strong>&nbsp;</div><ul><li>SpaceX has previously written a “poor proposal,” to the Department of Defense and this has caused a misunderstanding between them regarding approval for SpaceX to launch satellites. Initial poor communication like this may weaken the joint venture and make the likelihood of success low.</li></ul>]]></description>

This creates more choice of content for viewers to browse from, possibly increasing customer interest for Hulu.</li><li><strong>Financial Backing</strong> - The financial backing of these video media groups provided Hulu with the necessary resources to compete in the streaming market. This allowed them to invest in high-quality original programming and expand their user base.</li><li><strong>Competitive Edge</strong> - Through collaboration, Hulu was able to compete with other streaming services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. This competition benefits consumers by driving innovation and potentially keeping subscription prices competitive.</li></ul><div><br><strong>Disadvantages:</strong></div><ul><li><strong>Content Disputes</strong> - As a joint venture, Hulu faced challenges related to content licensing and ownership disputes among its parent companies.          <description><![CDATA[<div><br><strong>Basics:</strong><br>Sony Group Corp. and Honda Motor Co. agreed to set up a joint venture to start selling an electric vehicle by 2025. The plan is to bring together Honda’s expertise in mobility development, technology and sales with Sony’s imaging, telecommunication, network and entertainment expertise. &nbsp;<br><br>A merging of traditionally different manufacturing businesses is uncommon for Japan. But it makes sense in the age of electric vehicles, which lack gasoline-powered engines and have complicated electronics.</div><div><br>The joint venture will develop and design the product, but will use Honda’s plant for manufacturing. Sony, which makes the PlayStation video-game console and owns movie and music businesses, will develop the mobility services platform.&nbsp;<br><br></div><div>Honda makes the CR-V sport utility vehicle and Clarity plug-in hybrid and already has its own electric vehicle program, teaming up with General Motors to share platforms for EVs in North America.<br><br><strong>Advantages:</strong></div><ul><li>Developing an EV is costly, from research and development to manufacturing. Sharing these costs through a joint venture can be more financially efficient for both Sony and Honda.</li><li>Collaborating allows both companies to enter the EV market faster than if they were to do it independently. They provide many variations of cereal and food to many supermarkets around the world. Kellogg’s had decided to join Wilmar International Limited, which is a Singaporean food process and investment holding company in hope of entering China's market.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>As China is expected to become the largest food and beverage market globally within the next five years, Kellogg’s aim was to manufacture and distribute cereal and snacks there through Wilmar’s expertise in those markets.</div><div><br></div><div><strong>Advantages:</strong></div><ul><li>The 50/50 joint venture made use of Wilmar’s infrastructure, expertise and extensive network in China</li><li>Generates more revenue (for Wilmar for bringing in Kellogg’s) and provide more product options for consumers in China</li><li>Kellogg contributed its portfolio of globally-recognised products and brands, spreading the brand name and using its name to promote Wilmar</li><li>Hoped to combine their expertise to attack the Chinese market by storm and also expand their brand/company name</li></ul><div><br></div><div><strong>Disadvantages:</strong></div><ul><li>Wilmar is accused of illegally growing palm and engaging in slash-and-burn practices (deforestation)</li><li>Kellogg had tried to defend Wilmar however it only showed that that’s the danger of choosing partners who don’t share your values (If a company does something wrong, it can cause the other company it’s reputation)</li><li>As China may have not seen the Kellogg’s brand before, the consumers may be sceptical to try and may not trust the product, meaning no sales will be made/not enough sales</li><li>Costs of importing and exporting may be expensive</li></ul>]]></description>
