We thought this was a really unique and overlooked musical element that Ratliff never talked about. We explored how autotune is supposed to be used as a digital pitch corrector and fix small discrepancies in the instruments. Most people know autotune through famous artists such as T-Pain or Ke$ha as sounding like singing through a fan with a voice box. autotune is a lot more than that. So many singers use it and most people don't even know it. It can be used as an exaggeration like most people know it, it can be heard in a perfect balance, using it to help enhance the message of a song, and through overproduction in music such as country songs because they're so overworked they sound like angels and humanly impossible.
