Boys in 1st to 4th class wear the school tracksuit and polo shirt every day.

Boys in 5th & 6th class wear the full uniform every day, and tracksuit on PE days only

Ties can be purchased from the school office for €3.00 (cash only please)

Black shoes or black trainers to be worn by all students when wearing full uniform.

Can be purchased in any store e.g. Dunnes, Penneys

We encourage boys to eat healthily and have many initiatives throughout the year to promote health and fitness

Fizzy drinks, cereal bars, chocolate, sweets, pastries etc. not permitted

Together with our selected Partner the Lunch bag hot lunches are available in our school.

Please note this is voluntary and can be opted in at enrolment stage or later in the year.

If you wish to reduce the number of days your boy gets lunches simply update via the calendar function on the app. To note changes require 48 hours to take effect.

Alternatively to reduce cost and waste please let secretary@holychildbns.ie know if you no longer wish your boy to receive hot lunches.

The role of the Board of Management is to govern the school including Child Protection, Financial Resources, recruitment, vetting, ethos etc.

The current Board is in place until November 2027

All books and copies, covered by the grant, will be given during the first two weeks of school.

There is a annual €55.50 stationery fee which can be paid online or in person.

Code of Behaviour

• Any intentional behaviour which interferes with the work of the teacher in the course of exercising his or her duty towards pupils is regarded as misbehaviour.

• Right of each child to education in an environment relatively free from disruption

• Safe and positive environment requires mutual respect

• Encouraging and reinforcing good behaviour at home and school

• High expectations of both pupils and staff

• If there are behavioural issues the teacher has first responsibility, if problems aren’t solved at this level, principal and in rare cases the Chairperson will become involved

• 9am – 2.40pm (2.30 for 1st class)

• Doors open at 8.50am

• Pupils should be responsible and well behaved coming and going from school

• Be punctual for school

• Respect/Manners/Appropriate language at all times in school environment
