It is about 30,000 Apaches living today. The camp Grant Massacre was a
battle with the white men which led to the death of 150 Apache men, women, and children. One leader of the Apache group was a man named
Geronimo. In 1852 the Treaty with the Apache was signed for peace between the tribe and the US, When white American settlers began pouring into the West for  advancement, the Apache Tribe did not like it so the war between them begins, in witch led to many deaths. The Apaches surrendered to the American army in 1886.

These groups were divided into  the three main groups: The Northern (Mostly Idaho), Western (Mostly Nevada), and Eastern (mostly Utah).The Shoshone Indians were forced to relocate to the fort Hall Indian Reservation in Southeastern Idaho along the Trail of Tears. One of the most famous chiefs was Chief Washakie of the Eastern tribes. Other famous chiefs were Chief Little Soldier, Chief Pocatello, and Chief Bear Hunter. Lewis and Clarke also made their famous expedition with the help from Shoshone Indian, Sacagawea.
