I think I did well in the colouring and shading as well as developing a clear form and structure to this drawing.

I see a cool ink drawing of a seashell with its unique pattern.
I think its a cool approach focusing just on the pattern and allowing that to be the focus of this piece.
I wonder if this high contrast work helps to strengthen my skills in clear line definition and helps me to make more confident strokes.

I see a nice start of shadow and light definition.
I think the placement of the shadow is interesting and develops depth into this artwork.

I think the focus upon broader shapes rather than small details allows a sense of mystery to surround these creatures.
I wonder what kind of world they would live in, perhaps they would enjoy halloween as a holiday the most.

I think that his new hybrid features would give him a huge advantage in nature
I wonder how this would impact him, would he be more liked? less liked? would other penguins try to be like him? perhaps his species might learn something new from him...

I went on to look into what it means to be human when what we as humans become so different to what we are now. I wanted to think about concepts similar to those spoken about in the video, such as the more political side of being a person, and to address the sort of kinship that forms beyond just family. I was wondering whether in this world of mine people of similar animal features became closer, or if perhaps there would be this unified sort of closeness that everyone possesses knowing that despite being so different we are all human underneath it and not one set of features is better than another.

The name of this world comes from two parts; 
"Anthropocene" being a new evolutionary era that, although unofficial, has been adopted by many people as a new era due to the high levels of human impact on the life around us.

and the explosion part comes from terms such as "Cambrian explosion" being an era in which live dramatically changed, evolved and developed. 

Together I combined them to create a world in which life as we know it changed dramatically and underwent many rapid changes. This Earth, will be like our own only this Earth prioritises connections to nature and life around us. Through a series of experimentations humans of this planet got to combine themselves with the life around us (specifically various types of animals), giving us these unique "human-animal hybrids". These people are celebrated for their unique views of life and abilities. Despite all these differences between individuals, perhaps in this world humans are more united than you may think.

This piece, combines the human life and one of the animal in harmony. I chose it as this image contains many parallels between its two subject matters. 
The girl and the butterflies all have a unified and shared colour scheme, uniting them and almost blending them together. The spots on the butterflies also resemble eyes and, due to their placement, replace the second eye of the girl. I think it is beautiful when different lifeforms can live in harmony, it is how life is intended to be after all. Perhaps we, as humans, may one day stop separating ourselves so much from the nature that created and raised us.

In my eyes, there is a lot to this world, and to being human, that we completely overlook. We lack an appreciation for small details that get lost within the rush of our day to day lives. Perhaps though, my art may instill a spark of wonder into you, as the world and it's life gives to me. I think drawing these objects gives me a new look at them as I began to notice little details about them while I was drawing them, such as the bubbles inside the lipgloss and swirls off cream in the container.
