Today the world faces similar problems. One country that exhibits the same problems is Africa. Africa is known to have lower access to government funds which leaves many citizens without basic needs such as food and water. Economically this does not help the country because “...people spend less time and effort in physically collecting it, meaning they can be productive in other ways” (this is from https://www.afro.who.int/). Instead of using people to help build up infrastructure to get the economy moving, the people of Africa have to spend their day trekking miles to get drinkable water and food that they can eat. This can also lead to a downfall of health which many residents of villages and communities face. The low access to healthcare is a serious problem that is still not addressed. For example many people can get sick from drinking contaminated water. Another issue is that they do not have the ability to receive proper treatment if they fall ill. This leads to many avoidable deaths. Rome dealt with health problems such as malaria, which is a fatal disease caused by a parasite, which is a mosquito that gives bites that spread around the body. Slave labor was a big problem in Rome there was a very big amount of slaves in Rome. While Rome was under attack they still had a ginormous amount of slaves. According to BBC most of this evidence was found there. Most of Rome's economy deepened on slave labor because they work continually in fields and worked as craftsmen. Also according to History when Rome was under attack they were suffering very badly in a financial crisis. As told in Daily.Jstor Rome went through server environmental damage, also they did not have good access to health if you were not a part of a very wealthy family. Parasites like worms and lice would spread very bad due to the dense population in Rome. I know this because Africa has to deal with a lot of lower access to government funds, needs in an everyday life, and the problem of them being not economically stable. For example, the people of Africa have to work for what they need and they cannot just get it provided due to the lack of abilities to get what they are in need of. Another example is when the citizens could not get food and water when they demanded it the most. While this happened, it caused many problems to people with their health and much more. Not only the health but even not having food and water could cause a lot of suffering to people who are dealing with the tragedies as they go on. One last example of the economic and health troubles that are dealt with is when the people that are in Africa have a downfall, it is hard for them to get back to the right spot due to all the lack of essentials during the time they are in.
