F2 generation offspring will be 100% short, indicating that both dominant alleles are present in both parents in the F1 generation.
Three short pea plants and one long pea plant will make up the F2 generation's offspring (75 percent long and 25 percent short). This means that F1 parents have the dominant allele, which is expressed, and they have the recessive allele, which is passed down to F2 generation kids.

Problem: The f2 generation will be 100 percent short since the parents in the f2 generation have both dominant alleles.
Analysis: The f2 generation will be made of three short pea plants and one long pea plants, so 75 percent of it is long and 25 percent is short. This shows how parents in f1 have the dominant allele and they also hold the recessive allele that is passed on to offspring in the f2 generation.

There are two parents, one of them has a long recessive trait and one has a short dominant trait. The offspring all have the short dominant trait, but they also have the long recessive that was inherited but not expressed. When two offsrping mix, some of them will have kids that have the long recessive trait and others will have the short dominant trait.
