The sample I attached (and the answer to #2) is the spelling test I took today. Since we started with CVA late, I was four lessons behind. Mom combined those lessons into one really big test. When I took my pretest on Monday, I missed eight. Today, I only missed 1! I worked really hard to learn my words.
As of today, I have completed lessons 1-4 of Spelling, lesson 37 in math, lesson 4 in Moving Beyond the Page, and lesson 2 of Atelier Art. My reading curriculum has still not shown up, but I am still reading everyday.
My favorite thing I did in school this month was art. The first lessons was a turtle. The second lesson was the "wandering black line".
I don't feel like I really struggled this month, but maybe I have.
(Dictated by Lillianne, typed by mom

The sample I attached (and the answer to #2) is a story about a memory. I am proud of it because I worked really hard - it took three tries to complete my final draft.
As of today, I have compled lesson 4/chapter 3 of the Little House in the Big Woods, lesson 2 Dirt and Plants (each lesson was two days), lesson 8 in math, and lesson 2 of Atelier Art. My spelling curriculum has not shown up yet, but mom makes me correct all my spelling on other worksheets.
My favorote thing I did in school this month was all the science stuff. It is fun because it doesn't feel like school. It feels like we have plants everywhere in our house now!
I am sturggling with spelling and capitols, but I am working hard to fix it.
(Dictated by Brennan, typed by mom)

I have completed week 8 of spelling, Lesson 11 in math, Lesson 9 in art. I'm almost finished with concept 1, Enviornment in Moving Beyond the Page. I have my final project left in Unit 3, community to complete in order to finish concept 1.
I am very proud of my last art project I completed. I used chalk pastels for the first time. I made a picture of a squirrel on a cactus when there was moonlight out. I made the sand and also the cactus roots in yellow. I made a bright moon. I attached this as my sample.
My favorite thing that I did this month was completing the math "solving for x problems," I did them for the first time. They were actually pretty fun.
I struggle with handwriting. I don't like doing it at all and it makes writing my work out really hard. So I don't want to do more of it. If I practice though, maybe I'll get better and then it wont be so hard.

I completed my unit on Hellen Keller and am now learning about Taino Indians and the Caribean which is really interesting because my Papa is a Taino from Puerto Rico. We also made another baking soda volcano like the one we made this summer and we've been watching videos on the volcanoes of the Caribbean islands. In math I'm working on learning to subtract through regrouping which is hard. This month I easily completed the earlier chapters on counting through 100 and addition with regrouping. I still love my online spelling quizzes and I'm working on my first Christmas piano pieces. Attached are some pages from my Helen Keller scrap book.
