         <description><![CDATA[<div>Mitochondrial DNA is passed down from the mother because only the mother carries this mtDNA. Mutations do occur but not often, actually it's less frequent than 1%, which allows geneticists to trace ancestry back to certain lineages and human origin locations.  This mtDNA showed us human origins where in Africa, added to fossil evidence, it shows proof of evolution.  </div>]]></description>

Fossils are found on continents are the same animals at the same period in geologic history yet separated by an ocean.  Further proof of evolution.</div>]]></description>
