I love dogs, dogs bring me joy and hope because every time I come home my dog is always jumping on me because it misses me. even when I am out of the house for 30 minutes she will still jump and be exited that I am around.

One thing that will always give me hope and joy is my family. I cannot imagine my life without them. The birth of my son is what finally motivated me to finish my grade 12.

I think it’s important to learn about stories like Chanie’s because it helps people understand the truth about what happened. Without learning about it, people might ignore the past or not realize how it still affects Indigenous communities today. Education is one way we can show respect and make sure it doesn’t happen again.
