      <description>Dr. Kateresea L. Ford has spent more than 4 years as an academic advisor at John Tyler Community College in Chester, Virginia. In this role, she provides students with support and advisory services on a variety of topics, ranging from degree paths to student transfers. Prior to joining the college, she spent over a decade at Creative Family Concepts, Inc., as the chief administrative officer and clinical director, a position that emphasized staff leadership and policy development. Between 1998 and 2006, Dr. Kateresea L. Ford worked as a school counselor with Richmond Public Schools.

In addition to her activities as an academic advisor at John Tyler Community College,
Dr. Ford serves as an adjunct instructor and adjunct psychology instructor at Chester Career College and Bryant Stratton College, respectively. She also operates the Dr. Kat Ford Consulting Agency and spends time as a breeder of European Doberman Pinschers.

Dr. Kat Ford studied psychology as an undergraduate at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she received the Outstanding Leadership Award and joined Delta Sigma Theta, Inc. She continued her education at Virginia State University, earning her master of science in school counseling in 1998. More recently, she completed a doctoral program at Capella University in Minneapolis, with a focus on human services.</description>

There are numerous things that contribute to mental health problems, and social media has joined the list. Social media platforms such Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat have played a significant role in aiding idea sharing, easing communication, providing entertainment, and in building social networks. However, studies have shown that social media can also have a negative effect on the mental health of users.</div>]]></description>
