It's not good enough to take, quote, 'a mulligan' where you want a do-over, not when you have little children's lives at risk."
5. Since Bachmann made her claim, medical organizations and individual experts have come out strongly against her implication that the HPV vaccine can cause mental retardation. We rate her statement False.

Human papillomavirus (HPV) is the most common sexually transmitted infection (STI).

Many people with HPV don't develop any symptoms but can still infect others through sexual contact. Symptoms may include warts on the genitals or surrounding skin.

There's no cure for the virus and warts may go away on their own. Treatment focuses on removing the warts. A vaccine that prevents the HPV strains most likely to cause genital warts and cervical cancer is recommended for boys and girls.
It's important to remember that being vaccinated against HPV infection can protect you from cervical cancer. For those who aren't vaccinated, most cases of cervical cancer are caused by HPV strains that usually don't cause warts, so women often don't realize they've been infected. Early stages of cervical cancer typically cause no signs or symptoms.

The relatively minor side effects of the vaccine seem to be worth the almost 100% effectiveness in preventing pre-cancerous lesions caused by the HPV oncogenic viral subtypes (HPV-6, 11, 16, and 18)
2. absolute sexual abstinence (restraining oneself from indulging something) is a very difficult parameter to measure especially in the early age group that has been targeted for the initial vaccination series.
3. Aside from the physical process of vaccination, the more important issues influencing the success of these programs are the educational components that counsel patients and parents regarding the initiation of sexual activity as well as the awareness of the serious health consequences of HPV infection
4. These programs are not successful in isolation and need the educational component to help decrease other higher risk sexual behaviors. Parents and physicians need to remain actively involved in the education process and continue to advocate for the children.
5. the parents ultimately retain the right to decide whether or not to vaccinate their children.

1. Clinicians’ beliefs about sexuality and adolescence may influence their acceptance of the vaccine, and consequently their recommendations to patients.
2. nurse practitioners were reluctant to vaccinate younger adolescents for STIs, especially since they were lacking endorsement from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).
3. Thus, many women at risk for CC may be treated by physicians who do not believe they must disclose information about medical options they personally find objectionable.
4. Although sex before marriage was not uncommon before World War II (despite ideals valuing premarital virginity), postwar economic prosperity, combined with the Baby Boom, had by the late 1960s produced a heterosexual youth culture that openly rejected premarital chastity, and had sex with partners they had no expectations of marrying. These changes affected young women especially, as the feminist movement's demand for equality and development of birth control enhanced their ability and desire to breach tradition.
5. Beliefs that young women are sexually endangered and in need of protection – yet are also threatening to society if uncontrolled, and therefore (ironically) responsible for regulating sexual activity – have endured.
6. The idea that children are sexually innocent, especially before puberty, is age old, as is the conviction that youth are highly suggestible, easily ‘infected’ by all manner of potentially undesirable behaviours
7. Believing that sexual activity is inherently dangerous to youth and fearing that youth will mimic the sexual behaviours to which they are exposed, parents, politicians, and policymakers have sought to curb young people's activities by controlling access to sexual information in mass media and schools.
8. A majority of US adults believe it is wrong for adolescents, especially those younger than 16, to be sexually active, though only a minority disapprove of premarital sex per se
9. Cultural assumptions about youth and gender are not without critics from the Left, notably pro-sex feminists and progressive sex educators, and from the Right, especially proponents of premarital chastity for women and men.

1. It's not hesitant parents refusing the vaccine. Rather, primary care doctors treat the HPV vaccine differently from other routinely recommended immunizations, hesitating to recommend it fully and on time and approaching their discussions with parents differently, a study finds.
2. Melissa Gilkey, an assistant professor of population medicine at Harvard Medical School: "Discomfort talking about sex appears to be a more salient factor" than safety concerns about the vaccine.
3. only 38 percent of teen girls and 14 percent of teen boys receive all three doses of the vaccine, the study noted, far below rates typically in the 80 and 90 percents for other vaccines.
4. Concerns that the vaccine would encourage promiscuity or would cause serious side effects dominated the conversation, but dozens of studies since have proven these concerns unfounded, Schaffner explained. "So many doctors were so bruised by all that parental reaction that now they're very tenuous," he said.
5. They were also less likely to recommend on-time vaccination for boys than for girls. Nearly 2 in 5 doctors (39 percent) did not recommend on-time HPV vaccination for their male patients compared with 26 percent for female patients.
6. "We need to make the vaccine not about sex but about routine cancer prevention," said Jennifer Edman, an assistant professor of women's primary care at Oregon Health & Science University.

Dumbest vaccine

1. Don’t you find it ironic that a study, probably funded by Merck, in a publication funded by Merck, nobody has actually seen, gets published at the same time the dangers of the HPV vaccine (two of which are manufactured by Merck) hit the big time, and Spain, Denmark,France, India, and Japan call the HPV vaccine manufactures to the rug for misrepresenting the safety of their vaccines?
2. Very few strains actually contribute to cancer or cause genital warts and almost all of them clear up on their own.
3. When the HPV vaccine was originally approved, nobody had a clue what the long-term affects were on fertility, female reproductive health, or even cancer – that’s where injecting a bunch of young girls and waiting a few decades to find out comes in. About how long does it take a 12-year-old girl before she realizes she’s infertile or has premature ovarian failure, and how many thousands of HPV vaccine reactions (including death) have to be reported before we wake up and smell the inevitable? The HPV vaccine is a disaster.
4. Although I was only 18 when Gardasil hit the scene and couldn’t have cared less about vaccinations, I was smart enough to know that I didn’t want a vaccine that was younger than my latest hairstyle, that might only temporarily protect me against a few of the many strains of HPV, that could increase my risk of cervical cancer if I had already been exposed, and “protects” against an infection that would probably clear up on it’s own if I didn’t have it and got it.
5. I also didn’t have my head in a box, I knew that the HPV vaccine could cause some serious side-effects.
6. About 275,000 women die each year in the entire WORLD from cervical cancer and 85% (or 233,750) are from developing (third-world) countries. This means we’re recommending a vaccine (that could cause very serious side-effects) against a sexually transmitted disease (that usually doesn’t) to ALL young girls and boys in this country based on global statistics, in order to prevent 4,000 U.S. deaths, which could be caused by a strain that isn’t even in the vaccine, something different entirely (as numerous things can cause cell abnormalities in the cervix), or the vaccine itself.
7. HPV is a sexually transmitted infection that almost always clears up on its own without causing any problems. The vaccine provides no protection for anyone who has already been exposed to HPV (so pretty much anyone having sex) and could increase the risk of cancer for those who have.
8. If you get your young kids vaccinated, chances are they have not been exposed to HPV yet, BUT…any protection the vaccine might give will have worn off by the time they become sexually active.
9. Finally, you can’t believe anything you read in the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is bought and paid for by Merck, which manufactures two of the HPV vaccines – it’s most financially lucrative vaccine.

Comments:
1. Thank you for article. I’ve been very hesitant to give my daughter this vaccine snd feel pressured every time she goes to her pediatrician. The strongest reasons why I have not agreed to the Hpv vaccine are the testimonies from mothers who went into great detail of the horrible side effects that have literally wrecked the lives of their child since receiving the vaccine. That speaks to me profoundly.
2. ...And now, I do have kids, moved to a state and have had a hard time finding a pediatrician not trying to force the vaccine. They even do any testing first to prove the need for my children?!

Get your kids vaccinated! Don't make them go through what I did.
Debra Furo: One out of every 912 persons receiving the Gardasil vaccine dies . Death is only one of the serious side effects of this vaccine .It is safer to get HPV than it is to receive the vaccine .
Jenn Marilyn: Parents, get your child vaccinated, please.

Because, if you don't, when your child is old enough to consent to it on their own, they will have to pay a large chunk of money out of pocket to get it. In 2012, Dr. Lee found that 100% of all HPV Vaccines contain HPV Viral DNA, and this was confirmed by French scientists in 2014. Injecting HPV Viral DNA causes HPV infection.
2. In 2015 it was discovered by an Australian scientist that Merck’s HPV Vaccine “saline placebo” was not saline. It was Polysorbate 80… which causes ovarian failure, infertility, autoimmunity and nut allergies. This is important because that means when comparing the vaccine (containing Polysorbate 80) to the placebo, they could confidently say there were no differences or changes. (Polysorbate 80 is an ingredient in numerous vaccines.)
3. Did you know?
