This morning’s visit to the Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall was a great opportunity for cultural exchange, helping us all learn more about Taiwan’s history.

Walking through Ximending—a bustling street since the Japanese colonial era—was an amazing experience. Strolling alongside our international buddies, we got to enjoy the unique blend of history and modern life that this place tells through every corner.

Then came dinner—we went to a famous chicken broth ramen shop near campus. Every student said it was amazing! 🍜 We had such a big group that we nearly filled the whole restaurant. It got pretty loud in there, but the owner was super friendly and welcoming, which we really appreciated.

All in all, it was a full and fun day—lots of food, laughter, and great memories!

It’s so much fun leading my mates to Thai food stand and have a sour spicy noodles, 🍜 and they said it’s not the same taste as they have in their country. That’s true, because when I went to other countries before, I think there still have a quite nuance between our dishes, so i think it’s a nice try~

I also unexpectedly met a longtime senior colleague—we happily caught up and reminisced. This warm moment made the visit both meaningful and uplifting.

Long-term care has become increasingly important in recent years, especially for stroke patients who face mobility challenges and other difficulties that complicate their discharge. These teams play a crucial role in helping plan for life after hospitalization, aiming to reduce readmission rates and prevent unnecessarily long hospital stays. They work in collaboration with social workers, doctors, physical therapists, and other professionals to create a comprehensive post-discharge plan, making the transition from hospital to home or community much smoother.

I learned about the role of the oncology case manager. It was fascinating to see that nurses can act as case managers not only in community settings but also in clinical settings. I was also impressed to learn that the government provides support for this role.

It was great to learn about system that enhances nurses' professionalism and independent practice. It was a meaningful and enriching experience. I sincerely thank the NTU nurses for their thoughtful preparation.

The library we visited has quite similar services than ours in Finland but I think supporting student's recreational activities is more advanced here.

In the afternoon, we visited the hospital library. Even as an NTU student, I didn’t know there were so many special resources available. It was eye-opening and I truly learned a lot.📚🌿

After that, we went to the Taipei Zoo, and we were lucky to catch 圓仔Yuan Zai 🐼birthday! It was so cute and made the visit even more special.

In the evening, we visited Ningxia Night Market. We ate even more delicious snacks and played fun night market games like balloon darts and ring toss. It was a long but really fun day! 🎯🎈

My favorite part was definitely the playroom. The space was cozy and filled with adorable toys. I even saw some children playing happily there, which was really heartwarming. This visit gave me a deeper appreciation for how pediatric healthcare environments can be both healing and welcoming.
