This photo basically sums up how the global banking system works. As you can see the man on the right gives the bank a euro. The bank than uses that euro to lend some of it the the women on the left. Therefore making money on interest payments with someone else's money.

In this short video Paul Krugman explains briefly global banking. In this video he answer a few questions about the banking system. "How has the global financial system change?" In his opinion the big change that banks now operate in the background without the typical storefront banks. These banks he calls shadow banks. the other question he answers is "what company would be recognized as a shadow bank?" He says that it is not easy identify a "shadow bank" but he would classify them as "money market funds". I choose this video because it had good information in a short brief video.

This is a short video we get a look into what the future of global banking is going to look like by the year 2020. The one thing that i got from this video is that the global banking system is working towards being more digitally mature. Which means using the internet and technology more in system. They are expecting double-digit percentage revenue growth in the incoming years with this digital maturity growth within the global banking system. They still accept the fact that there is still possible threats to the system. Such as symbolical down turn, quantitative leasing and a cyber threat. The global banking system is still optimistic even with these possible threats. I choose this video because it gives the consumer a look at where the global banking system is headed in the near future. As-well in my opinion it is a well informed video that is unbiased in terms of it is not really for or against the system itself, but just stats facts and knowledge about the global banking system.

This short video is a interview done by a New York news show. The interview Ken Li and he explains his opinion of the current state that the global banking systems is in. He is asked a series of questions relating the global banking system. He stats that even tho there is better than expected quarterly results " the overall reactions is quite positive". However he than stats " there were a few things that, ugh, were, gave us a little bit of pause". Throughout this interview they talked about some ups and downs with current banking systems. One thing that I didn't know before watching this video was that a German bank has settled a multi-billion dollar settlement with the US department of justice. This is becoming a political issue that needs to be solved because this crisis is effecting the German economy and will continue to until solved. They also talked about "Brexit" they didn't go into to much detail as to what exactly "Brexit" is but they did stat that it would greatly effect London in a negative way. Another question for Ken Li was about the potential raise in USA interest rates because of USA's recovering economy and the effect it may have on European economies. This raise would benefit the USA but wouldn't particularly benefit any other country because each country experiences different economical environment. I choose this video because it gives the consumer a good idea of the current state the global banking system is in as of know. As well as it educates the consumer of events that are happening in the systems around the world for example the German settlement.

This video is about how banks "create" money out of thin air. He does a good job of explaining this process throughout the video clip. He talks about how banks take in deposits from consumers and than loans out a percentage of this deposit to other consumers. This process is called fraction reserve banking. The banks are required to hold a certain amount of money in the bank and the rest it can be loaned out legally. This is the actual process in which banks make money. If this process wasn't allowed by government, banks would not exist because they wouldn't be making any money. He also talks about the money multiplier. Which is the process of actually calculating the amount of money created by the banking system. The amount of reserve is 1 over 10 or otherwise known as 10%. The other 90% is loaned out. So this means that the multiplier is 1 over decimal 1. Which equals 10. So if 1000$ were deposited into a bank, 10% was kept and 900$ was loaned out. 1000$ got turned into 1900$ and so on and so on. I choose this video because it shows how the global banking system creates money in economies and makes money for themselves. I also choose this video because i thought he did a great job of explaining the process and made it easy for me to understand.

This website is the HSBC website on global banking and is in my opinion biased obviously about there company. This website gives basic knowledge on what global banking is. As well as marketing for that matter. They also give information about services that HSBC gives on banking and marketing. This website is has options to specialize in specific sectors and gives insight to each of those sectors. This website also gives solutions to each sector "tailored to meet your needs". Another thing this website has which i think is really useful is financial regulations. This is helpful because it helps the consumer get a knowledge and understanding of the financial world a consumer is about to enter. The financial regulations section is the reason i choose this website because i feel it is the most useful part about the website and most useful to a normal everyday consumer.

This website is great from an education point of view for a consumer to learn about global banking. For starters this website covers several areas of global banking. For example, personal finances, credit management, home ownership, security, business, and lastly retirement and investment. This is a huge asset to a new consumer to the global banking system because it gives a good over-view of many sectors of the banking system. Each area this website covers also has links with in it to further give information and strategies to further educate a consumer. It also gives a great explanation on the home page of what global banking is. The reason I choose this website is purely the education factor that this website gives to a consumer. Whether they are a beginner investor or just someone who wants to get a handle on their personal finances this website is the educational website for them.

This website is all about the pros and cons of the banking system. It shows all kinds of advantages and disadvantages to the banking system. This web page also has links for events going on in the financial world such as gathering and agreements. Also has news articles specific to the global banking system. There is interviews and top stories, investment and tradings as well. The main reason i choose this website though was for the pros and cons about the global banking system. This gives a quick and easy understanding to someone researching global banking what the pros and cons of the global banking system are. I think this is a good thing for someone to know about, and I felt the pros and cons were not biased for or against the global banking system.

This website gives a great introduction to the programs and the credentials that one student will acquire from going to the global banking school of UK. This website also offers other options other than just the school in the UK and will help find other academic facilities in other countries. This will help other people that are in other countries than just the UK. I choose this website because i feel this would help anyone who is trying to study and further a career in the global banking field.
