Está dirigido principalmente a un público joven actual y sus exponentes relatan sus historias desde un escenario urbano global, en el que las redes sociales y la web son los principales medios de difusión e interacción. En este sentido, el género en formación responde a las características de la comunicación actual, cuyos mensajes son instantáneos, fugaces y fáciles de digerir. Dentro de este contexto, la relación entre el autor y el lector parece cada vez más horizontal, permitiendo así una estrecha identificación entre ambos.
